Good location near Station can walk undercover to it. We are 70 but got allocated a room at the furthest end of a very long corridor far away from the only lift maybe as weren't members of Toyoko Hotel chain (maybe more thought from staff re that but could just be the auto computer allocation?) Breakfast was included but when we went down it was so packed with people there were not enough seats too small a dining room so skipped it & bought sandwiches at 7-11. We stayed at 5 of Toyoko Inns locations in Japan & didn't have any problems with inconvenient room location or a seat at breakfast so it was likely just busy time in Akita.
Hotel was nearby JR station. Walking distance to major shopping area and supermarket. Staff were helpful but to improve on their English language speaking as they use translator to communicate, very time consuming. Breakfast area was very small and cramped. At time need to wait for a while to get a table.
The hotel staff speaks English well, and was really helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Only thing that I wasn’t satisfied about was the google map navigation, the hotel has perfect location but google map kept guiding me to the wrong direction. But overall, great hotel and great service.
Everything about this stay was great except the mattress was very firm and the pillows weren't very comfortable. Other than that, five stars. Breakfast was delicious.
Got off the train at the station, signage was poor to direct me to the hotel and nothing to say reception was on the second floor.

Staff never respond to questions via message the hotel about getting a two twin room because I now had two guest instead of 1. Thus, they charged me cash for the 2nd person like I was in the wrong and didn't give a receipt. I asked them online three times, in person 4 hours before check in. And still they didn't care to listen. I will never go back to this place. They are just all rude and unhelpful unlike the other 4 hotels I had to stay at during this trip to Japan. This one was the worst.
A week ago, I stayed here for two nights
and checked in was acceptable. However when I checked in yesterday at 12.30pm I was told by the service staff that checked in only at 4pm. I requested if it is possible we check in at 2.30pm or 3pm as last week I was able to checked in at 2.30 pm. I was told no, only at 4pm. We left the hotel and came back at 2.45pm and told one of the service staff to advise us when room is ready. At 3.15pm I saw a group of youngsters were told that they could go up to their rooms. I then went back to the same girl to ask whether the room is available. She again said no check in until 4pm. I then said why the group of youngsters able to check in and she said because they are club member and I am not. I then requested to see the Manager. If she were to say room not available rather than I am not a club member! SO IS THIS A HOTEL OR A CLUB? Other than this bad encounter the hotel is good and value for money
