Handy but far to warm
The hotel is in a great location and handy for exploring on foot. The room had everything we needed however the heating was on full and there was no way to turn it off other than using a ceiling fan which was noisy. Ended up have to keep the windows open and it was blowing a gale all night which kept us awake and then the morning deliveries along the street. The bed was comfortable enough and the bathroom was much in need renovation but you get what you pay for and that never bothered us. If the heating hadn’t of been an issue and resulting in very little sleep my score would have been a little higher and I would have considered staying again

Nice stay
This is our fourth trip staying at the Amsterdam House. Great friendly service. Can be kind of noisy at times. A couple of nights there were very noisy guests above us at 2AM. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the visit.

Historic property with many quaint quirks and charms. Our room had a great view of the iconic “dancing ladies” leaning houses across the canal. Very helpful desk staff. Short walk to sights such as flower market and to public transport for things farther away.

Perfect location
Excellent location on one of the main canals. Very quite at night and walkable to everything. Front desk staff are super friendly and go above and beyond to accommodate your needs.

Our room was around the corner is a supplement building. Lots of narrow and steep stairs. Hard to get suitcases up and down. Room was big and spacious but could be cleaner. It was very noisy, could hear traffic, voices from the street and it was very loud when people went up and down the steps. From the room above us, we could hear everything being said and loud footsteps walking around.
