I enjoyed my stay at the Owl Hotel. They have a friendly cat Basille there, partly why i chose to stay here :) hotel is clean, has small elevator and cute backyard. I stayed on 3rd floor and unfortunately wifi was very spotty and wouldnt work for more than 5min at a time. Also wouldnt work if you are laying in bed, had to find a corner where it would but again only for like 5min. Reception said they reset the router but it didnt help much. Maybe invest in stronger router or set one on each floor. Its 2024! Ridiculous to not have internet. Also crappy water pressure, but i hear it’s like that everywhere in Europe. I feel sorry for you, guys. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Great location and bus 357 takes you to/from airport in 40min door to door. No transfers needed. And only €6.75. If i’m ever again in Amsterdam, I will stay here again.

Clean room. Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff A few little things to note-phone and safe didn’t work. However, we were given a locked safe downstairs. Also, a mini fridge in rooms would be mice. Overall great stay!

Not worth staying unless trying to save money
Overall find a better stay for the cost in Amsterdam. Booked 2 double bed rooms and when arrived, they did not have enough double bed rooms. The hotel is very loud since it’s old so you hear all the plumbing, doors closing and conversations in the hallways. Beds were very soft and not comfortable. Also no AC (though that’s fairly common in Europe). Neighborhood is good but can definitely find better options for the cost.

The Owl Hotel is a nice hotel. The staff is awesome. The rooms are clean and nice. One thing that I wish though is that there are more amenities in the rooms. There is no coffee or ice machines in the rooms. It would have been nice to have a small fridge. Other then that the hotel is great.

Bad hotel, good location
We were in Europe for over a month and stayed in 8 different hotels in different cities and I could say this was the worst of the bunch price wise and service wise. The room was tiny and the bathroom even so. The only good thing about this hotel is its good location, walking distance to the museums and parks. The night front desk person when we checked out at 6:00am was asleep at the desk and was grumpy when he woke up. We were told by the evening desk person that we could have coffee and whatever they have available at the kitchen when we check out that next morning, just ask the morning staff and we already paid for the breakfast. We always pay extra to have breakfast at all the hotels we stayed in. All the other hotels offered us packed breakfast when they knew we were leaving early!

As a person traveling alone and knowing I'd spend most of my time out and about, this was the perfect place to stay. My room was tiny, but all the essentials were there. Every front desk staff member I spoke to was friendly and helpful. When I realized I'd forgotten to pack a power converter, they had one to loan me. Wanted a 2nd pillow? No problem. The most lovely surprise was that the tub in my bathroom was an ample size for a lovely hot soak (and there's a Lush not a far walk away that helped make it even better). Easy to reach by bus from the airport and a very short walk to several tram lines. Would definitely stay here again if I am by myself.

The hotel is perfectly located and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Its just unfortunate that the walls are paper thin and you can be unlucky and hear everything going on in the adjacent rooms
