The Highlander is a perfect hotel for exploring Amsterdam. The tram is about a couple of minutes walking from the hotel. Amsterdam Centraal Station is about 13 minutes waling and only 5 minutes via tram from the hotel. Anne Frank House is about 10 minutes walking also. The hotel offers breakfast buffet, is very clean and the staff are genuinely hospitable. There are many options for shopping and a variety of restaurants to choose from close to and around the hotel. The only thing is that the hotel lobby is accessible by going down a short flight of stairs, which may be inconvenient for those who are handicapped or have a lot of luggages. Other than that, the hotel is awesome!

Very walkable. Adorable, chic boutique hotel. Typical European room size SUPER small. Good breakfast spread and drinks available 24/7. NOT handicap accessible. It does have elevators/lift but you need to go down a half flight of stairs to access it. Otherwise, I would recommend.

We were delighted with our three nights stay at the Highlander. We were welcomed with a beverage which was very welcome after our journey. After this we were shown to our room and all the facilities explained to us. The room was comfortable and had all we needed for our stay. The bed was very large and comfortable. the heating was adjustable to our needs. Breakfasts were served and cooked freshly by a very efficient and friendly chef. They had everything available that you could desire. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were very helpful with local information. Check out was easy and we were able to leave our luggage securely until the evening of our departure. The situation was very convenient for trams shops and restaurants. Overall we thoroughly recommend this hotel and we would be happy to return if the need arose.

This was a very beautiful and well located hotel. We had a layover in Amsterdam and spent the night here. Walked everywhere while we were here. Check in process was quick aMs smooth. The staff provided restaurant recommendations and were very pleasant throughout our stay. Triple room was spacious with upgraded amenities. When we return to Amsterdam for a full trip, we will definitely stay here again.

Trendy hotel in a great location. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel is walkable to everything. We had our son, under 1 years old, with us and a cot was available for him. Our family will stay here again when visiting Amsterdam next.
