Come and visit our lovingly restored 1925 farmhouse, where you’ll be close to everything but feel like the rest of the world is miles away. Settle into a home that has sheltered families for almost a century. As Asheville grew up around the farm, these 250 acres of woods and fields stayed as they’ve been for well over a hundred years, used for timber and food crops. Wolfehaven is a place of peace and quiet, and yet just a few minutes from all the Asheville area has to offer.
When you arrive, you’ll find a welcome basket from your hosts, Mike and Carole. As you explore your new home away from home, you’ll see how much effort went into the restoration process of the house. We kept the original floors and all the molding and trim, and rescued the beautiful dining room French doors that had been stored for years in the basement. But as we preserved the beauty of the house, we also brought it up to date. The kitchen has high quality stainless appliances and everything you’ll need to prepare anything from an omelette to a panini, or you can whiz up a frosty beverage in the blender. You’ll find complementary bottled spring water in the fridge. At the hot beverage station, grab a mug and choose from a selection of coffees and hot cocoa pods for the Keurig, or brew up a pot of traditional drip coffee. If tea’s more to your liking there’s a kettle and a tea chest with a wide variety of teas. The two bedrooms have brand new memory foam beds and feature high thread-count sheets, firm and soft pillows, extra blankets for chilly mountain nights, as well as TV’s with Roku sticks. And if you want to sleep in, there are room-darkening draperies on the windows. In the bathroom you’ll find stacks of thick, fluffy pure cotton towels.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch while you watch the sunrise over the farm fields, then spend your days exploring Asheville, grab some steaks on your way home and enjoy the grill and outdoor dining area. Finish up your evening toasting marshmallows around the fire pit while you plan tomorrow’s exciting adventures, or relax on the powered dual recliner sofa in the living room while you watch a movie. If you’ve spent the day hiking, there’s also another powered recliner with heat and massage to soothe sore muscles.
Mike and Carole have called this place home for many years, and are readily available if you need anything. We know once you’ve stayed at the Farmhouse, it will be the place you’ll return to on your next visit to Asheville.
