Our stay was very unpleasant and uncomfortable, especially as first timers at this hotel. We heard great things about this hotel and were excited about staying in the renovated tower, as this was stated within our booking. However, upon arrival we noticed we were placed in the West Tower. It bothered us that we called ahead of time and told them the time frame we were arriving, and it seems as if they still gave our room assignment away. The west tower definitely needs renovations but IT WAS UNACCEPTABLE for the room to have roaches. The hotel location and workers was a great addition!
We woke up with a roach in our bed.

Whenever I come to Atlantic City I stay at Tropicana. I usually always have a great experience but this time was somewhat different. First things first, I want to give a huge thank you to Bob that works at the bell stand. He was so helpful and sweet, he has left a lasting impression for me and my friends. The main reason for leaving this review is in regards to check out. We were told that by 11am on Sunday there were 1700 rooms checking out. Due to the chaos 3 of the 4 elevators stopped working. We waited for an elevator for 30 minutes before we decided to take the stairs. We got from floor 35 - 30 and realized there were no other ways down. When we went looking for the stairs we stumbled upon a box filled with used needles. There had to have been at least 60 needles.. leading me to believe they do not do enough cleaning / health / safety inspections. Other than that the one night stay was fine. At this time I am unsure if I will stay at Tropicana again. The staff was unhelpful when it came to figuring out a way down to the lobby. They seemed to not want to be bothered. Again, Bob was the most attentive employee I have ever seen at this hotel. He was great.

Elevators stopped working. we were on the 47th floor. Room was dirty. Heater was on full BLAST and wouldn’t cool the room up. TV did not work at all.

The Tropicana is a very nice and convenient hotel to go dine and party. However, I was just a bit disappointed this time because we did not have a working mini fridge in our room and the floor ice machine wasn't working as well. We had to go up 5 floors to find a working ice machine. For what the Tropicana charges they should be on top of things like this especially for a weekend stay.
