East Wind on arvostetussa purjelautailu-meksassa Island Creekissä Avonissa. East Wind on suuri 5 makuuhuoneen talo, jolla on oma rantayhteys. Käynnistä lauta tai leija omalta takapihaltasi! Mikä ilo tuoda useita vieraita EASTWINDiin! Tässä talossa on suuri ylätason avoin pohjaratkaisu, joka tarjoaa hyvin varustetun keittiön, jossa on saari, tilava ruokailutila ja kaunis olohuone, josta on upeat näkymät äänelle. Siellä on myös pieni parvi-alue, josta pääset vielä paremmin veteen. Useita kansia tarjoaa mahdollisuuden nauttia upeista auringonlaskuista ja vesilintujen ja vesiurheilun harrastajien päivittäisestä katselusta. Ylimmässä kerroksessa on myös pääsviitti kylpyhuoneella. Itse asiassa kaikilla viidellä makuuhuoneella on oma kylpyhuone. Jos tarvitset enemmän nukkumatilaa, toisella tasolla on myös toinen perhehuone, jossa on uusi queen-size-vuodesohva. 3 makuuhuonetta, joissa on kylpyamme, ovat myös 2. tasolla. Ensimmäisessä kerroksessa on iso makuuhuone, jossa 3 erillistä vuodetta ... varmasti loistava lapsille! Talossa on useita kansia ... toisella tasolla on upouusi kylpytynnyri, jossa voi nauttia upeista näkymistä samalla liotettaessa. Pohjakerroksessa on pelihuone, jossa on säätö biljardipöytä, TV ja jääkaappi. Ulkopäällysteisessä sisäänkäynnissä on useita koukkuja kaiken surffaus- ja leikkivarustesi ripustamiseksi. Kaunien kosteikkojen ja villieläinten ympäröimä, olet asetettu nauttimaan unelmalomasta tällä rantahotellilla. Island Creekillä on myös julkinen uima-allas, joka on käytettävissäsi, sekä veneramppi ja telakka. Ocean Beach on myös kävelyetäisyydellä, jos haluat surffata aalloissa! Avon on myös erittäin kätevä, koska siellä on mahtavia ostosmahdollisuuksia, Avon-laituri, laaja valikoima upeita ravintoloita ja Food Lion, joka on Hatterasin saaren ainoa suuri supermarket. Would recommend/things to know
Great place to stay- all appliances worked well, plenty of kayaks ect, we all had our own rooms and bathrooms. Close to everything and really enjoyed the community pool. Things to know- Water is very hot and only 1tub plug if you need to bathe kids. No baby items- crib/ high chair or baby gates for stairs. Router for tv is in 2nd living area. This room is great for 6th bedroom. It can be closed for privacy but you need to bring an air mattress. The sofa bed is not use able like springs over a sheet. Bring insect spray for mosquitoes and no beach to speak of. Overall would definitely recommend and really appreciate the owner allowing us to do a partial stay.

EastWind House in Avon
The house was perfect for our family to come together to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It was our daughter and son and their families. There was plenty of bedrooms for everyone as well as private bathrooms. There was room for everyone to spread out and find their favorite place to chill. My reason for 3 stars on cleanliness was that there were empty bottles and other miscellaneous items under some of the beds that was overlooked by the cleaning crew.. The linen service worked well, except for the fact that they did not send a king sized sheet for the master bedroom. What came in the king size bundle was a queen sized fitted sheet and we could not get it on the bed. The location was gorgeous. I didn't realize that there was no beach access from the dock there. Overall we had an amazing vacation and loved the house and area.

Great vacation
The house was perfect for our huge family (8 kids ranging from 6 up to 20). We absolutely loved playing in the sound and hanging out on the dock as well as heading out in kayaks and rented paddle boards to explore. The ocean/beach was a quick walk from the house and groceries etc was super close. I highly recommend this property!

Was very nice clean house . Work had been put into house fresh paint on outside / new roof from year before. House is much larger than would think. Only recommendation felt like linens could have been provided than having to go thru rental service .

The house fit all of us comfortably with the many bedroom options. A plus would be if they offered linens like most rentals. Having to pack sheets & towels is a big hassle. The house was spacious but a bit dated. Beautiful views but for older folks - it’s a lot of stairs - just fyi. Nice location with dock for fishing and riding kayaks.

Great stay in Avon with friends
Pros: Property was in a great location with nice views of the sound. Easy walk to the ocean across the street. Nice Kitty Hawk Kites 1 min walk. House had plenty of bedrooms and a bathroom in each. Nice decks and hot tubs to watch the sunset. Pool easy walk and empty most of the time. Cons: Common area/kitchen daily small and the house was older with 80’s decor. House was clean but the linoleum is old to the point of being faded and sticky in the kitchen.

Great Location
The house was perfect for our group of 12. The sound access was easy, and perfect to paddle board and kayak. The house had a few kayaks on the property we were able to use. The beach was an easy walk, just across the road. We had rented bikes that made the beach access even easier. Communication with the property manager was quick and very easy. Definitely would recommend and rent again!

Perfect for our family vacation
We had a fantastic week. Great weather, perfect house for our family of 12. Beautiful views, the hot tub is a plus, short walk to the beach, loved being on the sound, and enjoyed kayaking. We loved watching the kiters and all the wildlife too! Great location!

No good windsport access
The pictures on the web site about the water access and boardwalk are not accurate. They should be renewed. The new-actual boardwalk and shoreline are both obstructed and are not user friendly. But, we had the possibility to use a neighbors boardwalk.

Property was exactly as posted. Loved the decks, pool table, views of the kite surfers!! Master bedroom bed was comfortable, and we’re a bit picky about mattresses. Nicely appointed kitchen where I made family dinners every night. Great, quiet location and property manager was super responsive. Hope to return again. Thank you, East Wind!

Annual Girls Trip
Everything about this exceeded our expectations. Check-in was so easy, had great communication with the owner and it was very clean. House was as advertised and we quickly saw why all the previous reviews were so awesome! Had a great amount of space for our group and loved the back deck and dock....but those sunset views😍!!! Wow! Thank you so much for a great space for us! We made some awesome lifelong memories and plan to make this our stop every other year when we stay soundfront! Thanks!

Needs a bit of repairs
This is a beautiful house but needs a bit of maintenance. The sliding door to the main upper deck is very hard to open and close. The dryer takes over two hours to dry a load consisting of only three pares of jeans. Several deck boards on the decks and outside stairs feel weak under load. One tread on the stairs on the front steps has cracked and curled up to the extent that it has become a trip hazard. Overall the house is a good place to stay. It is clean, the kitchen is well equipped and easy to work in. Bathrooms are comfortable and the showers are clean and work well.

Amazing!!!
What a great house for our family vacation! Super clean ready on time! Short walk to the beach and the walkway to our sound was new and very nice! One of our favorite places! Hot tub was amazing!! Overall a great experience!! We had three couple a teen and a 2 year old! All family! We all had a blast!! We enjoyed the pool table! And the decks for the sunsets were perfect!! Can't wait to rent this same place again!! Thank you for making our first family vacation a great one!!!!
