For many years Awakino has lacked in cellphone reception HOWEVER, now the small coastal town has full reception for Vodafone, Spark mobile and 2 degrees, Come and enjoy a family holiday at the beach or have a crack at some Whitebaiting, This Bach offers relaxation

A Great location
We had a great stay at Awakino and the location was unbeatable. We had functions to attend in Mokau which was really ply only a few minutes away. We also traveled to Waikawau and it made it so easy to get to. I would recommend this premises for anyone. The owner was very accessible and very friendly even leaving some homemade biscuits and farm fresh eggs for us. It was an older style house and had everything we needed. I would recommend it for anyone who wants a good place to stay in the area. Thank you Jenny for a great stay.

Great bach in Awakino
My friends and I stayed here on our way to Marokopa. We really enjoyed our night stay. The bach was very comfortable and ideally located behind the Awakino pub which has great atmosphere and superb food.

Quick night away

Large family stay
The house was perfect for our large family. Lots space inside and out. Some of our family visited for the day and there was still plenty of space for entertaining.. Just one thing missing was an outside tap to clean sand of your feet. But the house was so comfortable and warm. Jenny is an amazing host. Thank you for our welcome gift. They were very yummy. We are hoping to make it a yearly visit.

A fishing Club weekend away
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were six of us and there was everything we could need - lemons on the bench and eggs in the fridge from Jenny, heaps of wood for the fire which was all set with paper and kindling when we arrived (thanks to Jenny)- it was all so comfortable and welcoming. We were so warm with the fire and there was plenty of towels for showers. The Hotel is directly opposite so that was great for meeting up with the rest of our group for meals also. This was a really great weekend away and we totally recommend.

Perfect location for whitebaiting the Awakino river
Jenny was awesome to deal with. Ring her and touch base prior to your arrival. She lit the fire in advance of our arrival and even left us some eggs for our breakfast. We stayed in the two inside beds which were comfortable. 2 rooms are accessed off the deck from portacoms outside. Very spacious lounge

Cozy little place
Cozy warm place, close to the beach so you could hear the waves. The property manager was lovely and had lit the fire for us so the place was nice and warm when we arrived and stayed warm through the night.
