Great historical hotel. Close to all the food and bars on Lydiard St and the cool gin bar near railway station. Locality, old world features, happy staff. Try different. You won’t be disappointed.

Loved the history and architecture of such an old building. The dining menu was limited and food was disappointingly low quality for the price. Saw many examples of a lack of upkeep such as wires hanging from ceilings etc.

Beautiful room with an amazingly comfortable bed. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning. Only downsides were slightly worn carpets on the stairs and a shower that took a long time to heat and seemed to run out of hot water quickly. We enjoyed exploring the rest of the historic property.
