The property is old and need updating. The TV's are old and you can't watch anything or CaST your phone and there's two of them. The air in the bedroom barely worked and had to keep the other doors open to stay cool. I'm sure it may have been nice 20yrs ago but the old bath tub and the shower curtain almost kills you getting out of it.

Nice big suites

The rooms were big, nice, and comfortable, with a nice bathtub as well. The rooftop pool was nice, too. The only downside was that we booked a two-bedroom suite, and when we got there found out that that was being fixed up. We ended up getting two one-bedroom suites next to each other, which wasn't as good, but still OK.

I stayed in One bed suite.Good location being 200 metres from main Sukhumvit Rd and a 5 to 10 min walk to BTS Punawitti station, outside all within 5 mins or so is street foods, massage, new shopping centre. The small roof top pool and gym are on the sister building 20 metres from residence entrance. Spent more time than usual in room this trip so watched tv...not up to much...one movie channel for English speaking and a couple of news channels, this proved to be inadequite. The kitchen is ok ...2 electric hob rings and a microwave and fridge. The bathroom has a sit in not lie down bath with a shower over the bath enclosed by another bug bear of mine a shower curtain, why, especially Thailand do they have a bath...surely its gotta be a walk in shower. I have stayed here before several years ago....it was as I remembered except there are no views from room and the views from the pool have been impaired by the developments all around. The staff are excellent and cleanliness is apparenr throughout the property these factors do make up somewhat for the negatives , tv, shower, views, but for me not enough, I would stay again but only for a night or 2.

My stay at Golden Pearl Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand

I originally booked my room in Jun 2018 and was told the room would cost us 62000 Thai Baht. The hotel contacted me in October, 2018 to inform me they had charged me too much. The room ended up costing me 315 Euros. That was quite a savings. All of the staff who we met were very kind and tremendously helpful.

OK for a short Stay

I stayed at this hotel for a short business trip, and for all intents and purposes it was OK. The staff were helpful, and one of the doormen was exceptionally quick to assist with anything. However, there are some small details that would make me explore other options next time I'm in Bangkok. E.g. the water in my shower was either extremely hot or extremely cold, it wasn't possible to get a good balance. Additionally, regardless how strategically I placed the shower curtain, water leaked all over the bathroom. The water in the kitchen sink and bathroom basin were both only cold. The air-conditioning is really loud, so if you're a light sleeper it might annoy you. There was a jumping bug on my bed, so I just wonder where there might be more. The wifi router was unstable, and i complained in the evening. After 12hrs it still wasn't fixed. The next morning I informed them again, and the situation could've been handled better instead of disturbing me again. The room service order was wrong, and instead of correcting it they told me if i wanted what i ordered, it would take "a very long time because they're very busy". The sheet changing policy seemed inconsistent, and isn't stated anywhere clearly that I could see. On my third day it wasn't changed. Even though the room offered a small kitchen, no pots/pans, bowls, or cutlery are provided.

Generally clean, but the wardrobe were broken and no toothbrush in place, likely the housekeeping forget to provide while they clean the room before, for casual staying is fine.
