Cozy cabin close to ski resort!
We had a great time! Very close to the ski resort, which is very convenient. Accommodated our family of 4 very well. My 13 year old daughter enjoyed the loft. I really enjoyed seeing all the deer!

Grandfather Mountain Highland Games
My wife and I visited the area for the annual Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. The cabin was nice, very clean, and accurately designed in the ad. The rental process was easy, and the communication was prompt. The only draw backs was the stairs (notes in the ad and not a problem for us....but could be for young kids, elderly, or those withimites mobility) and no AC. Opening the windows and using the fans provided kept it comfortable for us.

Small house in a beautiful setting
We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the rustic, woodsy house. Saw lots of deer and enjoyed being fairly close to lots of things to see but able to retreat away from it all to this mountain house. The loft was for kids and it is a small house, but we weren't home much. There were a couple of things that could be improved. It seems odd to have to pay a cleaning fee but still be required to do cleaning tasks before leaving. The beds were very soft and saggy. But otherwise, it was a nice place for a short stay.

The mountains are calling...cozy retreat!!
Arrived after dark. Did not realize that the code device was on the inside door since there was also one on the wall by the front door. Called for assistance and was helped immediately. Mountain stay was delightful! Accomdations cozy...loved the plush towels! 1 suggestion: Would recommend providing a scrubber sponge for CleanIng pots and pans.

Not too bad, not too great
You get what you pay for. It wasn’t bad and it wasn’t great. Peaceful location tucked in the woods. Before arrival communication with owner was great. Received quick responses. Day of arrival took some time to get responses. Several things were broken which the owner said they knew about but still rented the property. The tv wasn’t connected, had to wait quite some time to get resolved. The front glass door wouldn’t stay closed and woke us all night long. The fire pit leg was broken. The bathroom door didn’t close, which made it uncomfortable to use the bathroom with 5 people. For a positive it’s not far from the slopes and has a well appointed kitchen.

Cute cabin in a good location
Overall it was a good stay - Great location and clean cabin. Loved the little steam that runs through the property. The addition of sinks in both bedrooms are good as the bathroom is extremely small. Kitchen was pretty well stocked but missing a large frying pan. Both beds are full and the loft is extremely small.

Tiny and secluded on Beech Mountain
This property is in an excellent location amongst other rentals and smaller mountain houses off the side of Beech mountain. It's secluded and fairly quiet atmosphere made for a very relaxing weekend. The house is a bit on the tiny side and is older but has nice updates like a sink in both bedrooms to compensate for a small bathroom. We especially enjoyed the outdoor fire pit, the clean air, and nearby scenic views. My only real complaints are the beds were not very comfortable without any box springs and the towels are old/ smelly from repeated washing, and should be replaced. This could be due to an older washer/dryer in the basement area.

Beech Mountain Getaway
The chalet was clean, comfortable, provided the essentials and was good value. The weather on the mountain was a fog the entire three days we were there so didn't really get to know the neighborhood, but descended the mountain where the weather was better. There is lots of good hiking in the area, which was our goal on this trip, that and to escape the heat.

Enjoyable for couples
My family of 5 stayed comfortably. There were alot of stairs just to get to cabin. So many trips with bags. Drive way was only big enough for a truck or 2 small cars. Cabin would be perfect for 2 couples and no more. Couch in picture was not the one at the cabin. So not alot of seating. Loft area was really small . Perfect for older child. But was difficult to climb up to. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was real small. My husband and would come back to stay without kids.

Wonderful experience! Loved this cabin!!
Our family of three had such a wonderful time at this cabin! It truly felt like a home away from home and we will definitely be back. There was a family of three deer that came within 15 feet of us on the last day. The whole trip was like a Norman Rockwell painting. Gorgeous snow, really close to the ski hill and a very comfortable stay! We enjoyed the full kitchen and cooked our meals each day. We loved how the living room opens up to the kitchen so we could always stay together while cooking. The fireplace was cozy and the tv had every online app channel you can imagine. There were toys and coloring books for our little one. We just simply loved our stay! Thank you for a wonderful family memory!

Misleading size
When we booked there was not a square footage and it it was very misleading. At the time of booking 5 where going, luckily the other party canceled and only 2 of us went as it would have never worked for us all, we would have been in a very bad situation if trip went as originally planned and booked. It was lucky others canceled so it did work for my son and I. Size has been updated since booking also.

Cabin is beautiful but not as big as appears. 4 adults max and be read for Mountain climbing you are 5200 ft above sea level very steep and curvey. Deer were in yard every morning and on sides of road. Overall great but had to cut short because snow storm coming in and freezing temps and didn't want to buy snow chains.

Great cabin and location for a weekend of mountain activities!
The house was great! The driveway only really accommodates 1 vehicle easily, but you can fit maybe 3 smaller vehicles in it at once. All the wood work in the house was cozy and fitting for the area. Everything was really clean upon arrival. The house was equipped with wifi and a smart tv with all the streaming capabilities you could want. If you are a cold person generally, then this is the place for you. We were unable to fully figure out how to keep the house from getting so warm that we had to open all the windows to air it out. And yet still this place stayed warm. So the heat works very well. There is a nice little patio area below the main level with a fir pit and chairs to hangout at. Be cautious though, if the decking it wet it will be slick. 100% of the 4 of us staying lost our footing down there, so be careful! If you get lucky enough you will surely get to spot plenty of doe / fawns wandering around the area as well. We had a large doe wandering around our front porch during our morning coffee time.

Very nice cabin
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was in a nice quiet location, and was very clean. We used the gas fireplace quite a bit, and it worked wonderfully. I will say that the pictures online made the inside look larger than it really is, but it was great for just my husband and I. And would well for 3 folks. I did find it humorous that the vanity mirrors in the bedrooms are hung rather low. I had to bend down to see my face in them, but I'm 5'9". Not a problem though. The only recommendation that I have is to get a better grade toilet tissue. That stuff is terribly cheap. Just order a pack from Sam's and it will be much nicer. Overall, we had a great stay, and everything worked as expected.

Smith Stay
We really enjoyed this cabin, overall. It worked well for our family. A few things that I would recommend to make it a smoother stay - have a couple fans on site as there isn’t AC and the circulation when opening the windows is minimal - it was unseasonably hot for Oct so we weren’t prepared; blow/sweep the leaves as part of housekeeping; replace nightlights and a couple light bulbs out; have trash picked up by housekeeping - it was difficult for our family with young children and full vehicle to bring the trash to the Beech Mtn trash dump...we have stayed at Beech before and didn’t do this previously. Kitchen was well stocked; living room was comfortable; we loved having YouTube TV!
