This is not a hotel. It’s a hostel. The photos look nothing like the actual experience. Not very clean. No tv in room, just a computer monitor that doesn’t work. Guests were smoking. Guests and employees very loud day and night. You can’t get to sleep. Will never stay again.

Request for 1 night minimum refund
I have stayed with my mum 5 nights in Barcelona city hotel as you can see from my account, from 22nd to 27th April. I would like to officially let you know that im requesting FULL refund FOR ONE night, since it is not acceptable what has happened. We were accomodated in room 206 which is facing the street the first night, since this hotel does not have double glazing it was impossible to sleep during night since so following morning we requested to move to room facing yard and reception was helpful and move us to room 208. However in room 208 was a drunk man every night who would not let us sleep since he was so drunk and did not remember his digital entry code to open his door and made a huge mess at 2am in the morning, we could not sleep cause later he broke his beer glasses. This was happening 2 nights and after the first night i made a complain, reception spoke to him however did not do anything else, not relocated him neither us so the another night was the same problem. After that night i asked for full refund for the seconf night, they spoke to manager and he said it must be done via hotels.com and that you will get in touch with them. Please sort this as soon as possible and I will expect refund and your response as soon as possible.

My room was small, but the location made up for it
I was in a small room with a twin bed. The hotel lobby is on the 2nd floor. And the rooms are the floor above that. The elevators are very small and you have to use a flight of steps to get to them. Location is great with easy access to the city.

Good location and staff were really friendly and helpful. I had a single room which was small but did the job. Only issue I had was that the single bed frame was very basic metal and skeaked with any movement. I am a really light sleeper though so probably not an issue for most. That aside I enjoyed the stay.

This hotel had the most uncomfortable bed. My husband and I woke up with shoulder and back pain. The hotel is in a very nice location, shops and restaurants are within walking distance. It would have been nice if the hotel offered shuttle rides to and from the train station, especially when the taxi went on strike. The receptionist told us that the taxi issue was not their problem. The bathroom is renovated, but too slippery for elderly. Breakfast buffet was decent.

Good Budget Hotel
Great area, very close to Metro and Medium distance trains. Front desk very accommodating. Breakfast options tasty and consistent with BCN culturally and all fruit was fresh. Is in a kind of random building with a lobby and elevator that smell funky but is pleasantly clean and simple/minimal once inside the facilities. An excellent budget hotel for travellers not looking for big rooms and amenities.

Not a Hotel More A Hostel
This property is suitable for a hostel category and not for a hotel. I arrived to the location, couldn't find any name sign for the hotel, after looking for more than 15 minutes i discovered that it is mentioned on the inter-phone bell. taking the elevator of the residential building to the second floor, I discovered that its one floor multi rooms made to be a hotel. The reception person was unfriendly, and asked to keep the key at all time. obviously because they don't have another copy. I get into the room, despite my booking is for one person, I get into a tiny room with a three beds, where i could hardly move. There was a very bad smell continuously coming from the bathroom, and the street noise was heard loud at all time since the window's door where not locking properly. The cleaner was accessing the room everyday to change towels only, and for some reasons they never changed the bed sheets, and there were always traces that no proper cleaning was made to the room. I wouldn't recommend this property and I wouldn't return for sure. Regards,
