Property is fine. Only complaints about the property itself is (1) there are live and dead stinkbugs everywhere in the house and (2) the pictures don't show you that there is a second rental cabin just steps away and you will hear everything going on on their porch. I would still rent again despite that BUT the management has serious issues. Mind you, we are trying to have a romantic weekend and this place is out in the middle of nowhere on the end of a dead end road. Second morning there, a guy pulls up in a truck, claims to be a home inspector and demands access and tells us we were supposed to have already checked out. Um NO, my reservation was for three days and I don't know you from Adam and I'm in my pajamas and my partner is in bed, we are NOT letting you in this house. This is like how a serial killer movie starts. Then he gets huffy, goes sits in his truck and stares at the house for a long time before leaving, so we didn't feel like we could leave. Trying to recover from that and go about our day, next thing a lady drives up and starts banging on the door. Not again! She doesn't introduce herself or anything, just starts saying she is here to apologize for the first person disturbing us. Well, how about not disturb us again! Or give us a discount on our stay or a late checkout, something meaningful! We then had a voicemail from yet a third person telling us that a home inspector needs to access the property. I've been renting VRBO properties for life 15 years and never had such an experience. If you are going to schedule a home inspection of a vacation property, give the renters that information up front so they can decide whether they want to let some strange man be a third wheel on their weekend and see all of their stuff! Completely beyond the pale.
