This beautiful fenced in Coastal home is Fully Handicap Accessible with an outside elevator. It is on a canal perfect for fishing in your own backyard as well as easy access to East Matagorda Bay via boat and Sargent Beach is less than 2 miles away. It has a large pier and fishing cleaning station perfect to clean your catch of the day. You can enjoy a lovely sunrise and sunset in the screened in porch. There are 2 spacious bedrooms with queen beds and a comfy sleeper sofa. A walk in shower in upstairs bathroom and a full bathroom downstairs with a full size refrigerator. There is plenty of space downstairs to BBQ and relax , and has a fully fenced in yard. Kayaking encouraged and are provided for your enjoyment, but please bring your own life jackets! There are crab traps to catch some delicious blue crab for dinner.

Spring Break 2024
Very thankful to have a pet friendly handicap accessible rental. Of the beaten path with now much of a beach scene. Nice good choices, The Crab Trap, Smokey Joe's BBQ, Yoles Tacos and more and Bobbers ByTheSea. Also rental has all the needs to cook meals. I here the fishing is good of that's your thing.

Great canal cottage
The home is very comfortable and clean, easy to find and in a good location. The a/c worked wonderfully and the screened in porch is the perfect spot to hang out with a nice breeze. The tv with all the channel options was a nice treat too!

Felt like Home
We absolutely loved this house and property! From start to finish was dreamy and perfect place for our honeymoon! Our next door neighbor was wonderful and informative. Our host was so sweet and had a bottle of champagne and 2 flutes waiting for us in the house. They were prepared and had us covered all the way! There wasn't anything they hadnt thought of. I wish i could give them 10 stars, because they absolutely deserve it. We will for sure be back to this house, and we want to experience the other houses they have as well. But i dont know if anything can top this house in particular! Thank yall so much!!!!

Very clean home
Overall the home was good. Very clean and easy to check in and out. As VRBO premiere hosts we approach rentals from a different point of view. The home is well appointed: could use a few more options on pans in the kitchen, could use an update to the beds and pillows and definitely needs an update to towels and more out for use. Use of washer and dryer would have been nice especially for a beach property where we had to bring our own towels. Five minute drive to the beach was nice. We were there for July 4 and practically had it to ourselves (exact reason we visited Sargent). Not a lot of choices for groceries, restaurants or entertainment like areas around Galveston or Port Aransas but feel like the locals like it that way. All in all a good visit.

Very clean upstairs house.
We arrived to an excellently cleaned house with an exterior elevator which saved on unloading and loading to the upstairs location. Well furnished with furniture, but the beds were terrible, to the point we got up at 03:00 a.m. to strip off the mushy 3” foam pad and sleep with the sheet directly on the yellow stained mattress. The other room had bed issues too, but I’m not sure how they handled the problem. They were up and unable to sleep more, than down most of the nights. The air conditioning was excellent and the yard was well fenced. Bring a can opener and good knife as there was no can opener and the knives are cheap plastic flexible handles and blades. The old, old, old fry pan lost it’s Teflon coating about twenty years ago, but it still kind of fries, but the flexible plastic spatula flipper might bend to much to get the food unstuck from the pan bottom. Insect control was outstanding inside the house but beware of the screened in porch wicker furniture that has black Wolfe spiders hiding within. In closing I would recommend use of Downey to take the scratch out of the towels and a bar of soap would be nice, too. Fishing was nice from the wooden dock and the cleaning station was well lighted, but the underwater lights did no illuminate when energized. Nice breeze blows thru the clean shaded area under the house. Food at the little red BBQ trailer on the corner was really good and at a decent price. I both liked and disliked this property.

One of the best houses I’ve stayed in in Matagorda county!
I’m originally from matagorda county and I stayed in several beach houses in Matagorda and Sargent. This house was beyond my expectations! The host is amazing and is there if you need anything! The price point of renting a this house is amazing! 10/10 recommend this property and any other properties this host has!

Meets our needs perfectly!
This home is equipped for the person with a handicap. Very comfortable beds, wonderful furnishings, and gated for our dog Jasper's safety!! Carla was responsive and addressed any and all concerns we may have; great customer service!! And even her husband was quick to assist. Thank you for another wonderful stay!

We stayed here to have an early Thanksgiving with family. My son lives 2 doors down. We had everything we needed. The house was comfortable and well equipped.

Perfect getaway
Location easy to find and the place was very clean. No problem checking in.. Hubby ,I and dogs stayed there for 6 days. Mosquitoes were very thick , so remember to bring lots of sprays and repellents. Not so good luck on fishing but did caught alot of crabs. Just very neat little cozy place and is quiet too. We are very happy and would highly recommend . Will probably book again next year and hopefully better luck in fishing lol.. Thank you.

Perfect for wheelchair needs

Everything was so relaxing and comfortable..had everything that you would need to cook and I was there 3 days and did a lot of cooking..love that the porch was screened which helps a lot with mosquitoes.. another must for us was that it was wheelchair accessible the elevator helped tremendously the fact that my daughter is in a wheelchair that was very important to us and inside the home as well had enough space in there to move around with her wheelchair.. AC worked so so good .. also loved that the beach was very close by very accessible.. overall we enjoyed our stay there..

Ours was a short stay, but the kids really enjoyed it. It was easy to get to the beach and other areas. My 2 teenaged daughters slept in the beds and said they were comfortable. The couch (where I slept) was not so comfortable otherwise great place.
