Old Milford House is the charming farmhouse with a white picket fence and large manicured gardens that was built in 1865 for the proprietors of Union Cheese Factory. It has all the charm of the past which includes original plank floors, crown moldings, beautiful antique furniture pieces along with all the modern amenities desired including the chef's kitchen, bathrooms (with heated floors) and large family room with games, foosball table and comfy couch. This house is perfect for spending time with your favourite people and for entertaining your groups different interests.
Old Milford House is a licensed short-term rental with the County of Prince Edward (ST-2020-0103) and centrally located to PEC's best offerings. But this amazing vacation spot can offer enough to do without leaving the premises; with the largest privately owned wood fired oven in the county the foodie in you will be so pleasantly satisfied. If you dream of lounging and relaxing than the outdoor pool will offer you that resort style getaway. There is an amazing outdoor screened in porch where you can enjoy good conversation without the bugs! The large yard, play structure and basketball court are perfect to keep the kids (or adult kids!) occupied as you supervise from the lounging areas. We encourage you to play and enjoy the outdoors at Old Milford and all it's instagrammable spots! Have a game of football/soccer, sit by the bonfire roasting marshmallows or sit by the pond and observe the wildlife. There is so much to do, but most of all it's a great place to relax and unwind. The farmhouse has been designed to include current styles combined with comfortable farmhouse elements to create a classy, timeless look. We encourage you to use the stately dining room, lounge in the large family room and challenge your family/friends to a game of foosball. Retired teachers’ weekend getaway
Five of us met at this VRBO property for a long weekend of wine and cider sampling, shopping, touring and walking. The spacious, clean and comfortable house allowed us to each have our own room and to gather easily in the large, well-equipped kitchen, dining room and TV room for a great visit. We were close to many of the attractions in the County , another benefit of the location. It was a very enjoyable weekend away. With thanks to Monica.

Perfect PEC get away
We stayed for 5 days, and it was an amazing experience. The property is exactly as described, the house is extremely clean and well taken care of. We had absolutely no issues with our stay. The host was super accommodating, and was always responsive to our questions. The house is only minutes away from Picton, Lake on a Mountain (overview), many wineries and breweries. It is in the heart of PEC. We are definitely going to be looking to come back and revisit the area, and this will be our #1 choice of accomodations.

Beautiful stay in the country.
My husband and I had a lovely and peaceful stay at Old Milford House celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. We did a lot of gravel biking throughout the countryside, made some amazing pizzas in the gorgeous stone pizza oven and generally relaxed in the pastoral setting of Prince Edward County. We love the food and wine scene there and will definitely be back!

We booked our weekend stay at Old Milford to attend a family wedding. Much to our surprise, the time at the property was just as special. Tranquility and comfort in Prince Edward County
We had such a wonderful time at Milford House. Everything was perfect from start to finish. This is a stunning century+ home with the charm of the past and every modern convenience. The kitchen was a dream to cook in and even had sharp knives!! A first for me in short term rentals. Didnt have to pull out my own knives!! Monica was so helpful, and had really thought of everything. Gorgeous fluffy towels, comfy beds... The garden area is much larger that it looks in the pictures, and it unfolded like a series of beautiful rooms. We loved having the pool. The location is great. Close to all areas of interest in the county, yet tranquil. We will definitely be back!! Thank you Monica

Amazing Setting to Connect with Family and Friends!!
We are from Toronto, so it was a huge treat to have a space where our children could run outside and play on the grounds and play structure. The Pizza oven was well enjoyed along with the screened in porch (making for many memorable meals). The large number of bedrooms meant that our family and friends could be together but also have a quiet place apart from others to rest. PEC is filled with so many wonderful farms, hikes, and beaches - we were glad to be able to stay amidst all these special places. Thanks for sharing your home. The grounds are lovely, the kitchen is so functional, and the gathering rooms are fantastic.

50th Wedding Anniversary celebration with children and grand children
Excellent home and location with ample space and playground items for the young Grand Children. The pool was absolutely great and enjoyed by all. Highly recommended for a great holiday. Greatly enjoyed the nighttime fire pit.

Fabulous stay in PEC!
This property exceeded our expectations. Large farmhouse with everything you need. Clean, spacious and easily accommodates multiple families or friends. Between the authentic pizza oven, the pool and the screened in porch, we had no reason to leave the farmhouse - but of course did! Monica, the property host, was super communicative and when we had a question, very responsive. Would highly recommend this place for a getaway to PEC where you have a country feel but are close to all things to do.

Best VRBO experience ever!
From the first communication with the host we knew this would be an amazing experience. Monica responded to all of my messages very promptly. She was a wealth of knowledge about everything that PEC had to offer! All of her recommendations were wonderful. The house is FANTASTIC! We had everything that we needed and more. The property is beautiful, with lovely gardens, a lovely back patio and a lovely pool to relax by. The addition of the screened porch was terrific. It allowed us to stay in nature, but not worry about the bugs! The beds, linens and towels were superior. If you’re looking for a getaway either with family or friends, THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY. Amazing long weekend getaway
We had an amazing experience in this lovely renovated Victorian farmhouse. There was room for everyone to be together or pair off into smaller groups with the abundance of rooms and space. The kitchen was well equipped she the pizza oven was a very cool activity and produced some amazing food! We used the basketball court and the pool, as it was very warm this weekend! The host was very responsive to any queries we had. A lovely home in the county, close to all the things we wanted to do! Will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was a short drive to Picton, which made it convenient for exploring local breweries and restaurants. Incredible family getaway
My family and I had an amazing time at the Farmhouse! The home was beautiful with lots of space to hang out, and lovely design and decor. Atmospheric Location for Thanksgiving weekend
The house was exactly as portrayed on line. It was an historic country home with all modern conveniences laid on. We loved all the indoor space, the really well planned and spacious kitchen, lots of seating areas, the private screened in back porch, and the kids loved the nearby woods and general play area. An idyllic stay at the Old Milford House!
I cannot imagine a more wonderful setting for a weekend to reconnect with family from out-of-town. The Old Milford House was exactly as advertised and even better as the photos don’t show you how lovely the flow of the space is. This was important because it allowed for lots of interesting gathering spots at different times of the day, while also allowing people personal space as needed. The kitchen made meal preparation easy and we also found that the Old Milford House was very conveniently located to wineries, cider houses, breweries, bakeries, grocery stores and farm stands. Interacting with Monica in the lead up to our trip to PEC was seamless as was entering and closing up. A delight all around. Can’t wait to come back!

Perfect getaway for 2 young families
Best ever home stay and perfect space for 4 adults and 4 kids (plus extra space if more). Beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces and amenities. Monica was super responsive and accommodating. We will be back!
