2nd time a charm!
Love this historical home! The location is awesome! Very clean, comfortable bed, we only use one bedroom. The fenced yard is great for our pups! We haven’t had a chance to use the hot tub, but what an extra amenity! Thank you and hope to be back soon!

Great location in the heart of Bend
This adorable house is ideally located between downtown and the Old Mill District, within easy walking distance of both. Best of all, they allowed us to bring our dog, and the house is right across the street from a dog park - we could not have asked for more! The house was immaculate and the hot tub was a plus. We will be back.

Great place to stay-Excellent Cottage
Had a great long weekend with wife and Dog. We lived in Bend for 5 years so it was great to return. The house is fantastic with alot of attention detail. The set up was accomodating for work from home as well. We would stay here again. To be clear, there are homeless people living out of there cars or sleeping on sidewalk across the street. We live in downtown Seattle so it's nothing we havent seen before and overall we never felt in danger.

Great place for Bend!
Had 3 of us in this house for a snowboarding trip. Location was great. Quick and easy 25 minute drive to the mountain and we were able to walk <10 minutes to downtown for food and night life after the mountain. Great place for a solid weekend in Bend. Hot tub was awesome!

Very walkable to downtown - very present houseless challenges
This property is super cute and exactly as described. It's well-appointed and comfortable. We loved walking to downtown Bend - everything is so close! We had an issue with check-in (key code we were sent didn't work), but the property manager responded immediately to get us set up. Appreciated quick communication. Everything within the owner's control is great. Free coffee was a nice touch! As others have mentioned, there is a serious houseless population challenge at this location we didn't really appreciate until we showed up. The house is on a corner, and for each of the four nights we were there, we saw 8-12 different homeless folks either in parked cars or in tents on both streets surrounding the house. We saw lots of overt drinking and drug use, and we could hear shouting at all hours. It made us feel a bit nervous about our cars in the driveway, but we had no issues. We've stayed in downtown Bend in a number of different VRBOs within a mile of this location, and this is the only place we've ever seen this issue so prevalently, maybe because of the park nearby? I feel bad for the owner of the property given this is not in their control, but if you have small children or feel uncomfortable with visible homelessness, this is not the right VRBO for you.

Cute little house but had problems
The house was cute, clean and located close to town. Unfortunately, the amount of homeless activity/camps right outside on the sidewalk was worrisome. We ended up leaving the property and moving to a new home we felt safer for our child to be in.

Cute cottage in need of electrical work
The cottage is super cute and great for a weekend but not a week (in my opinion). My family of three stayed in this cottage for a week during the summer. The window AC unit is located in the living room so unless your bedroom door is open its very hot. The electrical box needs updated. The AC unit and hair drier can not be run at the same time without blowing a fuse. Although the property manager was prompt in addressing this issue it happened multiple times during our stay. Storage is an issue. Neither of the bedrooms have closets making it difficult to store items, we ended up putting our suitcases outside in the back yard. The location to old town Bend is great. Easy walking distance to Drake park and restaurants. The one downside is the church next door does a weekly community outreach for the homeless population. We were harassed on multiple occasions when we walked into town. For three days during our stay homeless camps gathered in front and sides of the house. The window blinds had to be completely closed in order to have privacy during that time. The backyard is cute however the property manager needs to leaf blow ahead of guest check in because spiderwebs dominated the sitting area.

What a cute and cozy place! The fireplace heater and jacuzzi made this cottage feel so homey. It was a short walk for anywhere you wanted to go. And it was so nice to soak in the jacuzzi after a long day. It was very clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend this stay.

Great location for activities
There were a few small things that could have been better, but overall this rental was good and the location was great for walking to the Old Mill district, breweries, coffee shops, restaurants, and Mirror Pound. The backyard space was also nice for our dogs to play around and enjoy the cool/colder afternoon / evenings we spent outside enjoying local food and beer.

A little disappointed for price charged…
For a one night stay I felt the cleaning fee was very high and didn’t understand the service fee on top of it. Very expensive all in all. Also the fan switch in the bathroom is broken and we couldn’t get it to turn off so it ran constantly. And there were several homeless tents and an rv with someone living in it across the street…we were uncomfortable walking downtown for dinner.

BEAUTIFUL home, perfect location in Old Bend
What a GEM this place is... perfect Old Bend location, we could WALK to everything, quaint neighborhood, quiet and safe. Meticulously clean and Covid19 standards. The house is decorated with hometown Bend ‘feel’, hardwood floors, fireplace and a hot tub under the stars. The home is stocked with everything we needed and the beds were super comfy. We loved walking along the Deschutes River path, watching the river surfers (that was something new to me) and enjoying a unique drink of cider. The shopping closeby has many stores for clothes, sports and restaurants (if it wasnt quarantine, they would be open☹️ Hopefully soon. The homes owner,Erin, was quick to respond to our questions and super accommodating to everything we needed. This home was just what my daughter and I needed to relax and explore Bend. Thank you Erin for opening your treasured home to us. I’ll be back and bring my husband!
