Just a couple of minutes’ stroll to Berwick Railway Station and the town centre, this ‘upside Down’ house is perfect for a couple looking to enjoy some local history, the surrounding countryside and award-winning beaches or simply base themselves centrally to do some exploring of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
The property has a comfortable and spacious double bedroom on the ground floor and a separate downstairs toilet. Upstairs there is a living room which is open plan to a dining room which can also be used for some home working if you can’t get away from work. The modern, well-equipped kitchen is ideal for you to cook up some lovely hearty home-cooked meals and the shower room completes the property with its modern feel and rainfall walk-in shower. The stairs are short but steep with two turns, there are grab rails on both sides. Parking is on street however the owner will provide one resident parking permit for guests for the duration of the stay.
Within Berwick there is a range of places to eat and drink offering some of the best local and international dishes. Pubs and bars offer both informal and more special places to go if you’re celebrating. Wander over the border to Scotland and explore the coastline villages and attractions, head inland and wander the hills of the Cheviot Valley or visit one of the country parks. A little further south is the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, a fabulous day out; just don’t get caught by the incoming tide and get stranded on the other side of the causeway.
The Beaches at Lowick and Goswick are well worth a visit and don’t be surprised if you’re the only people on the 3-mile stretch of sand. Guests will be surprised to be able to access both Edinburgh and Glasgow well within an hour by rail from Berwick Train Station.
