Morning Star Cottage on täydellinen ympäri vuoden Mainen loma-asunto! Tämä viktoriaaninen räätälöity koti sijaitsee kapealla niemimaalla ja tarjoaa auringonnousun ja auringonlaskun veden näkymät kuistilta ja kolmannen kerroksen parvekkeelta. Pienelle mukularannalle pääsee laskuveden aikana kahlaamista, kuorimista ja oleskelua varten. Helppo kajakinlasku tästä paikasta tarjoaa lähialueen ja kaukana olevien saaristojen etsimisen sekä ympäröivien vesien asukkaiden hylkeiden, kuikkojen ja hummeriveneiden tarkan tarkastelun.
Uuden Englannin suurin kasvitieteellinen puutarha Coastal Maine kasvitieteellinen puutarha on vain puoli kilometrin päässä tästä kodista. CMBG on puutarhaviljely jalokivi, ja sitä pidetään yhtenä Mainen tärkeimmistä luonnon nähtävyyksistä.

Kaikki vieraamme ovat raivostaneet mökkimme majoituksista ja upeista näkymistä. Päätämme ilmoittaa kaikille potentiaalisille vieraillemme, että kiinteistömme on nurmikon ja soran vieressä pitkäaikaisella pysäköintialueella. Alue on tarkoitettu pienen offshore-saariyhteisön, nimeltään Isle of Springs, asukkaille. Olemme vuokranneet Morning Star -mökkiä kaksitoista vuotta, eikä meillä ole koskaan ollut valitusta siitä. Jokainen, joka viettää aikaa Morning Star Mökissä, rakastaa sitä, ja olemme vakuuttuneita siitäkin!

Views from all angles
What a lovely spot! The house is exactly as described and pictured. It is light and sunny. There are views from the sunroom, third floor deck, picnic table, chairs, and dock. We never ate out because it was too nice to sit and eat at the house with a view! George is friendly, communicative, and responsive to any questions. The spot is quiet and surprisingly private despite the open yards of all the neighbors. It is close to the Botanical Garden and several short walks in the woods and along the shore. Kayaking or paddle boarding to visit the seals is incredible. One tip, biking in the area is not easy—so might leave the bikes home next time. It was a perfect long weekend trip. We will definitely stay here again!

Spectacular Cottage and Location!
The house is unique and charming on a small promontory of land overlooking the ocean and the scattered islands that invest it. Mr. Hervochon, the host, could not have been more accommodating and helpful--such a kind and gentle and generous man. His genius built the house and his spirit imbues it.

Great Maine Getaway
This house was perfect for 2 couples. We enjoyed the location of the home to everything we wanted to see! The views from the home were beautiful! George was a fantastic host and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again on our next trip to Boothbay!

Great house, location, area
The house is great, spacious, open concept downstairs, nice bedrooms, and nice 3rd floor family room and balcony. And outfitted with all that we needed. Yard and dock is where we spent much of our time, meals at the picnic table with a beautiful view. Kayaking conditions were fantastic, calm waters, seals and other wildlife, and interesting islands and shore to explore. And the area has a lot to offer, we enjoyed the botanical garden (great for kids), Boothbay harbor, bike rides, hikes, and loved Boothbay Craft Brewery. Can't wait to go back!

I was struck by the beautiful setting of this property. The house sits proudly on the hill overlooking the bay. The street is quiet and there is a lot of privacy between houses. The house was clean and neat and George the owner was wonderful.

Incredible spot!
My family enjoyed an absolutely perfect week at this incredible spot. George was a wonderful host - easy to coordinate with and incredibly welcoming. The house was spacious and wonderfully appointed with just about the best views possible. We spent so much time sitting on the dock, watching the birds and the seals in the water and made full use of the kayaks and the grill. Even though we only left two days ago, we've already been planning for our next visit. I would highly recommend renting from George for your post-COVID family reunion.

Magical Maine Experience
Stayed here with our 7-month old baby and some friends and had such a wonderful time. We’ve been to Maine from NY many times and this was certainly one of our most memorable, magical trips because of the gorgeous location of George’s home. Such an iconic American summer destination! George was also extremely helpful and communicative and there to answer any questions we had - which wasn’t much as everything was made super easy and the home had everything we needed. Thanks George. Hopefully we’ll make it back there again!

Weekend Too Short
We only stayed at this house for 3 nights to celebrate our anniversary but wished we could have stayed for much longer! The property has a beautiful water view and a dock to enjoy the peace and quiet - we even had a group of seals splashing next to the dock! The house is immaculate and had everything we needed to feel at home. George was a gracious host and very easy to work with. We enjoyed the restaurants downtown and the local brewery was a nice treat at the end of the day. This is definitely a property that we will look forward to renting again!

The dock was a treat and the kids enjoyed spotting a family of sea lions and clam shells on the small beach at the property. we couldn't get enough of the beautiful water views from the house - never a dull moment!

We stayed here for a week after Christmas with my mom, my sister & her husband & two children ages 4 &7 and we could not have been happier with our rental! Gorgeous home, it exceeded our expectations, a quiet spot with sunsets you’ll never forget! The owner was so kind, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The home was clean, inviting, warm, and we throughly enjoyed our stay. I might add we were here in December in a pandemic and had plenty to do to keep us all busy! I cannot imagine what a great time you’d have in the summer! Stay here, you’ll not regret it!
