Beautiful hotel with parking close by and very clean rooms. When kids weren’t running through the halls it was quiet and staff was very nice at the front desk. The only reason they lost a star is because there isn’t a microwave in the room or even on the floor. We were given the option to bring the food to the front desk where they would take it to the back and microwave it. Our room had a fridge and a Keurig… Side note and no fault of the hotel but the food from Amuse restaurant (salmon and steak meal) was completely flavourless and such a waste of money. I would get drinks from them and nothing else.

I’ve stayed here twice for events at Boston University; very manageable walk across the BU Bridge. The hotel is in/close to Central Square (and the T stop on the red line). The hotel is very clean and modern. Our interaction with the staff was limited but excellent. It would be nice if they would provide a free breakfast, but that’s really my only quibble. I have stayed there twice and would stay there for any visit where I need access to the Red Line or to things in walking distance.

The hotel staff was very nice, the hotel was clean and in good condition, and it’s well-located so walking to other points in Cambridge or in Boston is easy. The restaurant was also a nice experience with good food. I do miss some of the science-based art that they had when the hotel first opened.

Le Merdian: going downhill, next time: The Charles
We have stayed here multiple times and the service has really gone downhill. The rooms are not as clean. The service isn’t as good. The staff is limited and the people who do work there are a bit odd. There’s a Koehli bartender who never smiles or interacts with other humans except to fulfill their orders in the least pleasant way possible. The room wasn’t particularly clean. We were checked in by a lovely man who I believe is typically the door person and not the front desk person. The front desk staff was extremely odd and not particularly personable nor helpful.
