Sunny Sands is a fabulous 5 bedroom holiday home in Croyde with direct access to the footpath leading to the beach, large garden, summer house, pet friendly (*charges apply) and hot tub.
Living
The spacious living room offers comfortable seating for 7 people and is equipped with a huge Smart TV. There is a lovely woodburning stove - perfect for cosy evenings after a long winter's walk! There are also two 'reading areas' one downstairs just off the hall with a cuddle chair and window overlooking the garden, the other at the top of the stairs where there is an armchair and bookcase.
Cooking/Dining
The beautiful kitchen/dining room has been given a recent revamp with new tiles, worktops and appliances. There is a 4-oven range cooker with gas hob, large American style fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, wine cooler and a dishwasher. New Denby crockery and Viners cutlery are provided and we are sure many nights around the large dining table (with seating for 10) will be enjoyed! Bi-fold doors open out on to the large composite decked area in the garden. There is a very useful utility area in the garage (which can be accessed from inside the property) where an extra fridge, sink, washing machine, tumble dryer and storage for bikes/beach equipment can be found. Also accessible from the utility/garage and with a door to the front drive, is a surfboard storage area which leads through to a wet room with access to the garden.
Sleeping
There are 5 bedrooms in total, two being on the ground floor which makes this property suitable for people with restricted mobility. Both ground floor bedrooms have king size beds, a smart tv and bedroom 2 benefits from an ensuite bathroom with shower over the bath and French doors leading onto the decked hot tub area and garden. A shower room to the ground floor services Bedroom 3. Upstairs there is a very spacious master bedroom with superking bed, large smart tv, with hanging space, desk/study area and bi-fold doors leading to a great balcony which is equipped with a rattan sofa set and enjoys views over the garden and across Croyde village towards the Dunes and surrounding countryside. The master bedroom also has an en-suite shower room. Bedroom 4 is a twin room (some restricted headroom) and bedroom 5 is a single. There is an option of a pull out trundle bed for an additional child if required (charge applies), this can be added during the booking process.
Bathing
On the ground floor there is a family shower room, ensuite bathroom to bedroom 2 and a newly installed wet room which can be accessed from the garden and utility room - perfect for washing off after the beach or before a dip in the hot tub! Upstairs there is an ensuite shower room to the master bedroom. Outside there is a wetsuit washing area with hose pipe and hanging rail.
Outside
Exploring the garden at Sunny Sands will leave you 'wowed'! There is something here for every member of the family to enjoy - the hot tub (included in the price) which is well placed on the large composite decked terrace where there is also an outside corner sofa with table and extra stools - perfect for 'al-fresco' dining. A summer house with sofa and smart tv, purpose built charcoal Bushbeck BBQ (coal not provided), a good sized lawned area and secure gate which gives access to the footpath leading directly to the beach! The garden is fully enclosed for children and dogs and there is a wetsuit washing area with hanging rail for drying. To the front of the property there is ample driveway parking for at least 4 vehicles or more dependent upon the size of the vehicle and Sandy Way also has unrestricted roadside parking for residents and guests. The garden can be accessed from either side of the property, one side via a secure coded gate and the other via the board store/wet room. There is also a very large balcony accessed via the master bedroom which enjoys stunning views across Croyde, the surrounding countryside and towards the Dunes and Baggy Point.

There is a refundable security deposit of £250 payable with the final balance (not applicable to Airbnb bookings) - please note this will not be shown in the total cost of the booking on the summary screen. The security deposit is refunded within 14 days of departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
Full payment is due if arrival is within 10 weeks. For bookings made 10+ weeks in advance a deposit of 50% plus the £60 non-refundable booking fee is due. The final balance and security deposit (if applicable) is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival.
For Bookings confirmed with VRBO, Ocean Cottages will take your payment prior to confirming your booking, this could be up to 72 hours after receiving your confirmation from VRBO. If we are unable to accept your booking, we will contact you as soon as possible. Airbnb take payment on our behalf and pay us after your stay, they will confirm the dates and amounts due when you make your booking.
It is not possible to add any extras when booking via VRBO/Airbnb and therefore the costs of any extras will not be included within the price shown, extras must be requested and paid for directly with Ocean Cottages.
