The condo was absolutely fantastic. Kitchen super well equipped, as well as the rest of the place: lots of extra garbage bags (useful when you are 8!), paper towels, new sponges, dish and dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, all sorts of spices for cooking, soaps, shampoos, conditioners in every bathroom, I was extremely pleasantly surprised, we didn't have to pack or buy any of this stuff. Rooms were good size, all equipped with TVs, dish and dvd players. There is also a storage place in the garage for your skis that is just for the apartment, so very secure. Hot tubs and saunas were a nice highlight at the end of the ski day. Btw, Snowflake lift is literally 40 steps away, great location, and bus to town is there too in case you don't want to walk for 12mn. Bottom floor, but great view of the ski lifts 😉 Can't say enough about the great condo, amenities and location!
Less good: 1) 1 parking spot only in the garage for the entire condo (really for 8 ppl?), also, garage has low ceilings, you wont fit with a Suburban with a ski box on top (but they do tell you in the condo description upon reserving), 2) no pantry so we had to put lots of things on the counters, 3) condo got too hot (we did follow the instructions given and often had the balconies' doors open), 4) most important: VRBO is very badly integrated with Great Western Lodge which manages the facilities. I had no email, no instructions, nothing telling me where to go when arriving. Nothing on my VRBO app either, which I have used many times before for communication with the owners). I assumed they would have some office nearby or on premise as most condos there do, but no, it was in town. No postings on the door or anything. I called their number which kept on going to voicemail (later found out they had an issue with the phones that day). I called the emergency number and a super nice fellow helped through (forgot his name, but was awesome! He calmed me down so much, we were 2 couples with 4 kids total and thought our reservation never went through bc VRBO app was showing I didn't pay though I had). He was able to reach the office in town, but they were closing in a few minutes, and we didn't have time to get there. Well, Erin (working there) was AMAZING! She patiently waited for us to get there, checked us in and explained everything to us, never rushed us even though she left super late. THANK YOU! VRBO, you need to invest in better integration with 3PPs...
