Superb room

A lovely room on the top floor, with a quirky bathroom on a lower floor with steps down to it from the bedroom, very unique and a bit tight for us as a little larger than average but still a lively room with great views.

Excellent location friendly staff. Convenient for centre, 5 minutes walk to central station easy 4 minutes train transfer to Brussels Midi railway station for Eurostar & International trains. Area noisy overnight load voices regularly going by even in January, although not unusal for city centre hotel. Somewhat underwhelmed by 2 free drinks as VIP guest which equalled 2 bottles of water -useful! Plenty of nearby restaurants & cafes.

Great stay

Excellent locations right off Grand Place. Room was large and spacious, room and bathroom were clean. Room was slightly too warm and aircon didn’t seem to have much of an effect, but other than the stay was comfortable. Would recommend this hotel!

Great value for a centrally located stay

A centrally located hotel close to the central square and easy access to public transportation. Couldn't ask for anything better for our short stay. Would definitely stay here again.

The main reason for choosing this hotel was its proximity to key tourist attractions like Grand Place and the Christmas Market. However, upon arrival on the first day, we noticed that the entire area from the central terminal to the adjacent streets was very dirty, with trash scattered all over, which was quite unexpected. During our stay, my wife mentioned feeling insect bites, which we initially dismissed since it was winter and unlikely to be mosquitoes. Upon further inspection, we found a bed bug in the bathroom. When we squashed it with a tissue, it burst with blood. We reported this to the hotel staff, who promptly moved us to another room and sealed off the previous one. Overall, the hotel needs to improve its cleanliness, especially in the bathrooms. In the second room, the shower faucet handle broke off when I tried to use it. Additionally, the towels provided were yellowed and appeared worn, even though they were originally white, leaving much to be desired.

The Alma Grande Place is perfectly situated in the heart of Brussels. Our hotel room was fantastic; it was large and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was not great, but other options were very close by. We hope to stay at the Alma Grande Place again!

An amazing gem of a hotel in Brussels centre

We loved this hotel. All the staff we encountered were amazing and so friendly and accommodating, especially Eva, who welcomed us on arrival, is a credit to your hotel and Marc who helped us in other ways was amazing. We found the room (501) to be very comfortable, spacious and quiet (facing inwards). It had a separate WC from the bathroom, that had an over bath shower, and twin wash basins. Our kids had room 206 facing the road and had mentioned to us that the nearby early building work bothered them, but that is hit and miss anywhere. If you want quiet ask for an inward facing room on a high floor. We would love to go back to this hotel. It is a short 10 minute walk from the Centraal train station and close enough to be in the heart of Brussels (5 minute walk to Grand Place), with a good selection of local restaurants/bars a very short walk away. We jumped in a cab from the airport, costing 55 Euro to station Centraal, and back to the airport we grabbed a 45 Euro Uber from 1 minute walk away from the hotel, as the hotel road doesn't permit normal traffic. To conclude, a fantastic hotel with amazing staff. Well done Alma Grand Place hotel. Very happy customer.

Our receptionist was very informative and kind. She recommended many great places to eat around Brussels and every places were on point. The view of the room is amazing!
