Our beautiful a cozy 3 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms a sunny balcony in a historical building next National Opera House , we , the owners welcome you at your arrival and I , Janos availbale for
private guided historical city tour on foot , trams or on bikes
or to Szentendre into the art village by train or boat .
Also like to share about we do our private home restaurant where we not only share great local meals but build a friendly atmosphare where exchnage thoughts .. and finally my friend happy to invitate you for his amazing motor yacht when speed or slow you can enjoy Budapest from the midle of Danube .

Our apartment , called Szukkot located in the heart of old Jewish quarter
1 min walk to National Opera House .
The apartment consists of three big separate rooms with separate entrances each , an ensuite bedroom (king bed 180 x 200 cm ) with rain shower and AC .
A bedroom with balcony with king bed (bed 180 x 200 cm ) and a large living room with AC and quality sofa bed (openable 160 x 200 cm , with quality mattress) which can double as an extra bedroom if required , provide plenty privacy even for five - six guests . There is a second bathroom with bathtub and shower , both bathrooms have toilet . The brand new kitchen well equipped offer all comfort comes together with the dinning area .
This bright, spacious 100 m2 airy apartment has south facing balcony ( 3 m2 ) ideal for morning coffee or a glass of wine at nightfall while you have a city view to the authentic Jewish quarter . The apartment located in an old historical building (built in 1906 )
2nd floor without lift but we will be there to help with the bags .

We always welcome the guests personally , anytime , does not matter which hour is the arrival . Introduce the apartment and give the keys and useful city information .
Please consider there is a 20 euro late check in fee arriving after 21 pm .

The location is in the trendy , lively neighbourhood but in a small quiet street. In the immediate surroundings you can visit the Great Synagogue , Opera House , Basilica , Andrassy avenue as well many cafes , restaurants , galleries. but all city can be reached by walk , ideal as a holiday home and living really the spirit of Budapest .

My personal guided city walks talks about to see my country history through my family eyes , not juts see the beauty of the city but also search and introduce the reality , real people real problems , happiness , compare your and our freedom , economy , discuss how can be that more locals say 60 years ago was easier than today ...
All these questions which too personal to discuss in bigger group . We see on the way all monuments like Parliament , Castle hill , Shoeses , Great Market , St Stephen Basilica , Opera , Jewish quarter , old bath houses . I am felxible how many hours and what time start ..

I do also tours by train , boat to the art village , into the Danube bend , to the most romantic 1000 yo village in Hungary called Szentendre where must to have langos , turos palacsinta , kurtos kalacs and all these in a grandma garden ..

What else I also do panoramic hiking tours over Danube bend . One called Spartacus osveny , it is flat excursion with hilltop amazing villages like Pilisszentlaszlo , Visegrad , great views to the bend ending in a forrest restaurant or a late grill lunch in the sandy river beach with the best 360 panoramic views in the bend .. travel by boat , trains , local buses ...

Sometimes I was asked to see more villages in Danube bend and I did Nagymaros , Visegrad , Szentendre or Esztergom in one day so discover the nicest towns and also to take a river boat in bend ...

City tour , Szentendre village or hiking over the bend is
80 euro per person .
There is only few euros for travel tickets .

Tours are flexible but usually around 6 hours in the city and Szentendre and
a full day when hiking or discovering the Danube bend ..

As I was learning to cook in high school and love cooking since that I like to introduce myself and Jozsef my best friend from village to invitate you for a home made dinner with our stories , hungarian music and the spirit of entering into local peoples life ... ask for menu options ........

The host made this place amazing

My 20-year-old son and I had a great stay at the apartment. The hosts were extremely helpful with their recommendations, arranging transportation, hosting a dinner, and giving local tips, maps, and guides. The layout was great, the beds and showers were comfortable, and the location was amazing and convenient. We felt very safe and more like a local than a tourist. I would highly recommend it for a family or friends traveling together.

A perfect place to stay

We had a perfect 3 nights in this apartment. The space was spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. Great location in the jewish quarter and very close to the metro. Janos and Josef gave us loads hints, tips and ideas of where to go, including places we hadnt thought of and ways of saving money which was extremely helpful. We were also allowed to store our bags in the property after check out before our mid afternoon flight which was great. Thank you Janos!

Great location- wonderful hosts

You couldn’t ask for a better location - right near the opera house. It was perfect for my husband and I am our friends. This flat is in a unique setting and is comfortable and stylish. The owners Josef and János have spent a lot of time renovating. Best part for us was that the two bedrooms and bathrooms were far apart- good for couples who have different in and out hours. Thank you also for the excellent restaurant recommendations János!

Lovely hosts and a wonderful location

Our stay at this VRBO was a very pleasant experience. In addition to a well appointed apartment in a great location, communications and welcome from the hosts is the big bonus. Charming Janos and Josef met us personally to settle us in the apartment and acclimatize us to the city and neighbourhood so that we could make the most of our short stay in Budapest. Taking the time to go over interests and locations on a map and talk about some of our choices was so helpful to ensure we knew how to get to locations, when to go and what to avoid. Please know you are in excellent hands with Janos and Josef as your hosts.

First trip to Europe

Everything about this property was 5 star. We landed very late, Janos scheduled our car service and he and Jozsef greeted us at 12:30am to show us the apartment. We hired him our 1st day to take us a tour and spent 8 hrs on Buda and Pest sides, walking and trams. It was a great day! We would have loved to take his tour of the Danube bend but we ran out of time. Having used VRBO for almost 20 years, Janos and Jozsef are the best hosts we have ever had!! Truly new friends were made. I highly recommend staying here!

Very nice hosts and location

We had a wonderful time at this propertly. It is very close to great restaurants and shops. It is also close to the subway line. Our hosts were easy to work with and very attentive and helpful. Janos helped arrange transportation from the airport as well as a taxi to the train station at the end of our stay.

Downtown Budapest

It was our first time in Budapest and we were lucky to have found this amazing apartment. We are a party of five consisting of 2 families and it suited our needs perfectly, a very spacious unique turn of last century, great location close to everything. Simply fabulous

The property met all our expections - spotless, great locale etc etc. But what was better where our hosts Josef and Janos..... They offered a special (ie local) dinner - 4 courses with drinks. "Fabulous" does not describe the experience - it was more than the food, it was the opportunity to enjoy the banter with wonderful locals, just priceless... Janos also guided us for the day around Budapest, showing us some of the mainstream and off the main track. Worth ever cent. Thank you Josef and Janos

Location was great. I was under the impression that this was a 3 bedroom apartment. It was a 2 bedroom with a living room that has a so-called " futon" bed. My son couldn't sleep on that bed. There was no dryer even though it said there was a dryer. One of the reason I booked this place is for the 3 bedroom and had a dryer in the apartment. The owners were very nice and very easy to communicate with .

Wonderful hosts

Janos and Joseph were the best hosts we’ve ever had. They were friendly and super excited to give us all kinds of advice for our stay. The place is a renovated 2 bedroom in an old Jewish tenement. They did the renos themselves and it is beautiful. They offered to cook us a traditional Hungarian dinner in the apartment. An additional fee of about $100/person. If was super awesome. We learned so much about them and the life in Hungary. They also do tours and even though we didn’t use them for our tours, we would certainly recommend them for that service. What awesome people. The apartment was immaculate and the small,balcony is a great place for relaxation. I highly, highly recommend this place.

Old elegant Budapest

I love high ceiling-ed European city apartments. Built in an era of old world style. The art deco doors are ridiculously beautiful - tall, bold, understated. Artwork in their own right. The slightly patchy plaster in the shared internal courtyard is part of the charm. The location is great for exploring around Budapest. Central, close to transport links and safe. A bit noisy on a warm evening when the visitors of the bar nearby chat in the street. But only one bar which is rare for streets in this lively neighbourhood. The hosts are very hospitable and want to make your stay easy and relaxed. We’d stay again but bring earplugs.

The apartment was in a great location to access public transportation, restaurants night life and the Opera House. Spacious enough for my adult family of 5. All essentials were available in the apartment and beds were comfortable bathrooms spacious. Nicely decorated. The hosts were so helpful and friendly. Wonderful, wonderful stay!

I have been staying in VRBO properties for over 20 years and I am here to tell you that this is one of the best experiences I've ever had. Best Budapest Experience Ever!

I’m 💯 sure that Janos and Josef have ruined all other home rental opportunities for us. Their hospitality, cleanliness, knowledge, and genuine care of their customers is beyond any I have found in all our years of renting vacation homes! I would highly recommend anyone to take them up on the offer (if it is shared) of the day tours and especially the home cooked meal. Our time in the home and sharing dinner was beyond any expectation of any other place we’ve been and we can’t wait to come back and stay again! A more than 5 star stay and experience! Amazing VRBO experience.

Janos & Josef are amazing hosts. We hired Janos as a city guide one day and took his suggestions for a day adventure to Szecheny (don't miss the Marzipan museum) and several restaurant suggestions. The flat was lovely, kitchen stocked with tea & several types of coffee makers. Onsite washer made carry on packing possible. Thank you, Janos and Josef, for your extra efforts and in sharing stories of your life and country. This was truly a memorable experience for our family.
