Could do with a makeover. Room was a bit stark/bare bones. Shower and tap into bath were both dripping a lot though we managed to get the shower to be ok after we used it. We hung the hand towel on a broken off bolt coming out of the wall. Staff were nice and everything was clean. Location is excellent which is why I booked it. One block and you're on the esplanade with lots of places to eat and drink.

The "welcome" from staff was perfunctory and cold. Vague instructions about parking the car in the basement and something about a lift. Terrible parking options. The room was cold and unwelcoming. The 'sofa' belonged in a pool area, not somewhere to curl up on after a long day. The tiled floor had no rugs or furnishings, and the room temperature was too cool. The louvered window coverings difficult to open and close (I hurt my arm trying to close it), the louvres did not close well leading to lack of privacy. The room smelled of bleach, but seemed grimy. The photo's on the website are not a true reflection of the actual room. The power sockets were hard to reach to plug in the phone charger next to the bed (underneath a fixed bedside table that could not be moved for access). The bed was comfortable, there were plenty of pillows. The linen was clean and comfortable, there were plenty of towels. There was a good working iron and ironing board. There is much Wyndam needs to improve on. This was my first foray into a Wyndam resort, and my last. Will not recommend. Prices are moderate. Suggestions: Get rid of those louvred doors!! Blackout curtains are fine and can be washed. Provide better sofa's, cushions and a floor rug or carpet. Deep clean every room on a regular basis and install a new washer for the dripping tap. Provide a toaster and a few more appliances. You would do well to add a scented de-humidifier.

The property was clean & tidy inside, although the shower taps didn't turn off very well. Outside I thought the property needed a spruce up as the wooden railings & trim looked very unkempt. The staff were very friendly & helpful, & my daughter & I enjoyed our stay.

I had the room service knocking at my door at 8am. I had twice to told them I was still in my room. I finally left my room at 9am and came back around 5pm to find out that no one cleaned it or made the bed or anything. That’s poor service

overall the price and location was good. staff was great and check in and out was every easy. booked it because of the name, looking for a chain hotel thinking of a standard. Hotel itself is very dated to say the least. again though location good and price was reasonable just expected it to be in a bit better condition.

Ground floor room not far from reception.. As soon as I opened the door I smelt a stale mustiness about the room .. I am guessing the rooms may be getting upgraded and this one hasn’t been done yet or the leave this for the people who haven’t booked direct with the hotel.. The windows have timber shutters on them which unfortunately DO NOT block out the light from outside and the room certainly isn’t very soundproof from outside noises.. It is an old hotel and an old room which as I said is showing it’s age .. In fact it’s that old it only has a single flush button on the toilet instead of the dual action system most places now have to conserve water.. No phone in room that I could see but had everything else like an ironing board , iron , etc Having said the above I will say that the bed was very comfortable , the hot water for the shower plentiful and there was even a bath ( again showing it’s age ) Off street parking was provided if you got back early enough and the place has a security gate protecting your vehicle etc.. Very friendly and efficient staff .. The location was good within very easy walking distance to everything and the pool looked ok as well .. Might go back again at a later date and see if the room has in fact been refurbished
