Equine Haven Trail by Tiny Away
Summary:
Where horses roam and the adventure begins at your doorstep, Equine Haven Trail by Tiny Away redefines a tiny house NSW getaway. Here, your neighbors are horses, inviting you to snap close-up shots and connect with them. Just a short 200-meter walk unveils a trail that winds into a national park, perfect for exploring nature’s raw beauty right from the farm. A tree-lined, rarely-traveled road leads you in rustic charm with a touch of seclusion to create a rural stay that’s anything but ordinary.
The Space:
Equine Haven Trail by Tiny Away in Calga is just an hour’s drive from Sydney, offering a rustic farm stay set on a serene rise, overlooking vast horse paddocks and Brisbane Water National Park.
Here, you’ll encounter horses up close, spot native wildlife like wallabies and wombats at dusk, and enjoy easy access to natural wonders such as Somersby Falls, Mount Penang Gardens, and Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home, offering the best Central Coast accommodation with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers).
If you plan to spend your tiny house NSW getaway here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities such as food and water during your stay with us. Thank you!

The Neighborhood:
Equine Haven Trail by Tiny Away is a rural Central Coast accommodation in Calga, a region that balances laid-back beach vibes with lush hinterlands and local culture. Just an hour from Sydney in Calga, it’s a launchpad for exploring 40+ beaches, eco-certified trails, and national parks while connecting with an exciting foodie scene and creative community hubs.
What's more, our farm stay is set on a gentle hill, offering views of horse paddocks where wallabies and wombats make nightly appearances, giving you an authentic regional experience.
Our local recommendations:
-Brisbane Water National Park is a mix of ancient rock art, lush rainforests, and sweeping ocean views. Wander along hidden trails to see Aboriginal carvings, or take the Piles Creek Loop for suspension bridge crossings and dramatic sandstone cliffs.
- Somersby Falls in Brisbane Water National Park is a 0.8 km round-trip trail offering views of cascading waterfalls surrounded by lush rainforest. The trail includes lookouts with views of all three waterfall tiers, especially striking after rainfall.
- Mount Penang Gardens offers 8 hectares of Australian flora, sculptural pathways, and themed garden rooms, including towering bottle trees, cactus gardens, and vibrant aquatic displays.
- Barrenjoey Lighthouse combines rugged coastal views with historic charm. With the chance to spot whales in season and guided tours available, the steep but rewarding hike to the lighthouse reveals panoramic vistas of Palm Beach and Pittwater.
- Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary offers a close encounter with native Australian wildlife in their natural habitats. Wander through open woodlands and encounter free-roaming kangaroos.
