Construction next door was not a problem. Great vibe in the neighbourhood. View of the mountains. Grocery across the street. Good amenities and a terrific on-site restaurant. Highly recommend Alt Hotel University District.

The hotel was good -staff were nice and it’s in a great area by the University. The price for parking at the hotel at $20 per 24 hours is far too high though. I believe most hotels offer complimentary parking or at least a solid discount. Overall a great stay.

This hotel is in an obviously new area of the city focused on commercial/residential mix neighbourhoods. There are a ton of restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, parks, and trails in the vicinity. The AB Children’s Hospital is basically a parking lot away. They have paid underground parking at the hotel and also in a few other spots for the community as well as paid above ground parking kitty corner to the hotel for larger vehicles. The staff were great and really helpful. I’ll absolutely stay there again.
