This charming property is a converted Victorian church, built in 1868, on the site of an original church dating back to the Norman period. Situated in the quaint hamlet of Highway, within the parish of Hilmarton, St. Peters boasts a rich heritage, with the estate having been in the family since the 1930s. Accommodating up to seven guests, St. Peters is reminiscent of its long history as a church, by providing the ideal space for both communal gathering and personal retreat.
As you step through the imposing church door, you’re greeted by the warm embrace of original beams and the glow of colourful stained-glass windows. The ground floor welcomes you with a living room furnished with a wood burner, perfect for cosy evenings by the fire, as well as a Smart TV and plush sofas for relaxation. The kitchen includes marble counters, a four-oven range cooker, induction hob, family size fridge/freezer, separate drinks fridge, and all the equipment needed to cook a fine meal. The large dining area provides a convivial space to eat and talk, while a utility room and downstairs shower room offer practicality and convenience for all. Ascending the grand staircase, guests will find four thoughtfully arranged bedrooms, each offering a tranquil haven for rest. A second bathroom awaits on the first floor, complete with a delightful freestanding claw bath, offering indulgent moments of rest and relaxation.
