Nestled within a charming thatched cottage, the "White Rose" Annexe is a small, cozy, retreat that combines rustic character with modern comfort. Perfect for romantic getaways, solo escapes, or productive stays, this cozy space offers a tranquil ambiance and thoughtful amenities. On occasion, the garden is visited by an array of enchanting wildlife, including rabbits, deer, squirrels, pheasants, and other delightful creatures, adding a touch of magic to your stay.

Your property is a Grade II listed building, a nineteenth century annex to a much older thatched cottage. Recently renovated to retain original features and add modern features as much as possible, to you'll have a taste of a bygone era:

Ground Floor:

Bathroom/ Utility Room providing access to running water, equipped with shower, sink, toilet with an integrated bidet, washing machine, and dishwasher.

Hallway with spaces for shoes/ boots, coats and lockable safe. Stairs to first floor. Grade II listed building features must legally be retained and by modern standards the stairs are both quaint and tricky (unsuitable for small children or mobility impaired).

First Floor:

A snug bedroom with a king-size bed tucked under sloped ceilings and original beams, creating a cozy and tranquil atmosphere. Both barn and tawny owls can be heard from time to time. From the window you may catch glimpses of rabbits, pheasant, squirrels and deer.

A compact kitchenette with all the essentials, including toaster, induction portable hob, kettle, mini microwave, mini fridge, air fryer, water filter (ground floor access to running water), vegetable steamer, coffee espresso machine.

A cosy sofa chair and a dining area that doubles as a workspace.

Step outside to enjoy a peaceful, private spot perfect for your morning coffee or evening relaxation. Alternatively, take advantage of the secluded shared garden to the rear of the thatched cottage and annex. The property also offers free private parking, with an EV charger available for use at an additional cost.

CONVENIENCE AND LOCATION
The bus stop for the number 13 bus is less than a minute’s walk away. In one direction is Addenbrookes Hospital & Central Cambridge and in the other direction is the Suffolk market town of Haverhill. The annexe an ideal spot for anyone working at or visiting the Addenbrookes while still being able to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside.

Cosy compact thatched annexe

Very Compact annexe forming part of a thatched cottage on a lovely quiet country street. There is everything you need here, it is very well equipped for a short stay. Comfy bed and pillows.
