The property is under renovation including one tower and the main pool/hot tub. Most all of the staff are wonderful and very friendly, especially our butler Jessica. But upon checkin there’s a very heavy pressure to sit for a membership club sales pitch,, and that push continues for most of your stay if you don’t do it on your first day. It’s fine to offer the opportunity, but it felt really pushy and as though you didn’t have an option but to sit through it. One of the restaurants was closed throughout the whole stay, and others closed periodically for private parties (one of which we were invited to as part of our Expedia VIP experience). The fire show was really nice. The beach is absolutely gorgeous.

This was our first and only all-inclusive stay we have done. I cant say that it is for us. The room itself was great, easy to check in and out, but theres a few things we did not like about the resort. Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful, our personal concierge was wonderful, but it seems like all the other staff are not on the same page. They will constantly tey to up sell you beyond the timeshare pitch they really push you do to. The food was not good, bland tasteless, limits on what you can wear (ar a beach resort) what food you can take to your food. It sustains you but doesnt taste like anything. The wait staff will take forever to bring tou a dri k because they run around everywhere and dont seem to take note of who to help first, the secrions of staff dont seem to know whats going on between each other so you will have staff tell you to go here for this then the staff there will tell you no thats wrong etc. The shear amount of staff that co stantly fight for your attention push for them to help you makes ot confusing who to tip and they get annoyed when you dont. They have an app for room service but its basic food and they dont have a section for drinks to be ordered. It is not worth the money, maybe if you have kids and like bland food.

Where to start? This place was a slice of heaven when wanting to disappear from the real world. Service was hands down, amazing. We encountered several staff who went above and beyond. Starting from Miriam (spelling?) In concierge, she was fantastic and very helpful. Then we had Daniel the ambassador of Expedia and guest services. He helped guide us to appropriate places and was very accommodating. He even scheduled us reservations for Koi restaurant and messaged every day to see if we needed anything. Then we had several interactions with Hector, Diana, Alicia, Gerado from the buffet/food places & bell hop/valet. These people are seriously amazing and are what make us want to come back. I cannot express how amazing the customer service was. Now onto food, the buffet was decent given it was a buffet. The selection each time/day for breakfast/lunch/dinner was different and did not disappoint. Koi restaurant was delicious (we did the teppanyaki). The show and service was great. The Italian restaurant was some seriously delicious food. The service was above par and we left very full. Angel at munchies & the buffet who was cooking food on the spot was a pleasure and always attentive. The taco grill was pretty good when you wanted quick tacos and didn't want to leave the resort. Our room, we stayed in a premier ocean front room. Great views and spacious. We loved the shower!! Daily housekeeping & restocked mini fridge.

Me and my fiancé enjoyed the resort. To be fair we didn’t spend much time in the resort but none the less, it was a great place to stay. One thing that I found particularly upsetting was the way in which they try to get you on a timeshare. Like aforementioned, we didn’t spend much time in the resort so when they pulled me and her away to try to get us on a timeshare it was a big waste of time. It also seemed like they were annoyed at us saying no at the end because one of the salesmen ripped up the “survey” they were getting from us. Now I say “survey” because it just seemed to be another tactic to get us on an offer. As a person in sales, the frustration is understandable but it truly is unacceptable to present those emotions in front of a client in such a way. The staff was super friendly and always made me and her feel welcome. The drinks were also very great. When it came to the food, I will definitely say we had significantly better lunch and dinner outside of the resort, but the breakfast was a great way to start the morning. The view from our room was great. Great place to stay for a great time in Cancun.

Overall this resort is wonderful. The beach and pool areas are kept very clean and there are plenty of loungers around so no need to reserve early. The towel service was lovely. I was able each day to get as many towels as I wanted and refresh them throughout the day. There are 2 places to swap towels and I found that convenient. The hotel and restaurants are maintained meticulously well with a cleaning standard that I appreciate. Cleaning service included daytime cleaning as well as evening tidy up and turn down service. Butler service was top notch. Jessica went out of her way to explain every day what the activities were around the hotel for day time and evening time and arranging anything we needed. The food is spectacular, especially enjoyed the hibachi and the menu at Koi )the Japanese specialty restaurant). Amazing food. Top shelf liquor available on request. Few things to note : our air conditioning didn’t work throughout our stay. We called for maintenance twice and although the service men said they fixed it they did not actually fix it. We slept with our patio open instead (6the floor) Hotel is currently under renovation, People to note: Fermin (sp.) the breakfast chef Yolanda, Erika, Hector 1 were excellent beach and pool side servers. Top notch. Hector 2, and Carlos are beach bar chefs and were lovely and jovial. Angel at the lobby bar will make you any kind of fancy drink you can find off google. Excellent bar chef.

For the VIP access we had a butler who helped book tours and book reservations through out the resort. She was welcoming kind and very helpful. The staff were all so good the property was kept clean even though there was some construction on going they kept it to a small area.

The view of the ocean was outstanding. The speciality restaurants were very good. The buffet was average.The staff were excellent. In particular two of the concierge staff were wonderful, Jessica and Sara. The construction noise was noticable but did not spoil out trip. The walkways around the resort could easily been a tripping hazard for seniors like myself. The walkways are made with 8 inch round slices of rock that are mortared together. Which make for a very uneven surface to walk on. The wind blows constantly which some days did not make it comfortable to sit on the beach or by the pool. Overall it was a nice experience, and I would recommend the resort to others
