Castellaras-le-Vieux is a place of exceptional beauty set in an exclusive & prestigious private domain built by the famous Jacques Couëlle close to Valbonne, Mougins and Cannes .
Initially created as a “private village” perched on a hill just 3 kms from the charming bustling villages of both Mougins & Valbonne and only 9 kms from Cannes with it’s the beaches, fine restaurants, luxury shopping and of course the festivals! This stunning hilltop setting offers stunning 360° views from the of the Mediterranean sea from the Esterel to Nice and the snow-capped mountains of the Mercantour.
The villas are built around old Castellaras Château with a cloister and a park studded with old oaks and other matured trees. The site is unique in the South of France with approximately 30 hectares of permanently and fully-protected natural surroundings consisting of terraced olive groves, natural fields, old dry-stone walls, a XIVth century private Chapel, old outbuildings, five tennis courts in beautiful surroundings and two swimming pools, one heated and for adults only offers panoramic views and the Chateau Club restaurant which is open for members in July and August.
The villa is set in private landscaped gardens and made up of 3 main levels, accessed by a bridge which opens onto a terrace with dining area and offers direct access to the living area and kitchen.
The upper-level houses the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, a terrace offering panoramic views from the mountains to the sea and a separate children's room / office. This level can also be accessed directly via the stairs which climb round the outside of the villa
The lower level comprises of 2 bedrooms – 1 large double with separate office / lounge area and 1 single / children's bedroom. These 2 bedrooms share a shower room . This level also houses a separate guest WC, cloakroom and main front door which leads out to the middle garden area.
Another double bedroom with ensuite shower room and plenty of storage is also accessed independently via the garden.
There is also a separate utility room and storage room for bikes / outdoor equipment.
