Charlotte Jean - 33ft Cozy Carver Mariner- Unique Stay on the Water

This memorable place is anything but ordinary. The Charlotte Jean is a great hideaway from the world. She features a cozy sleeping area in the front of the boat, sofa, galley and dining table that converts to 2nd bed. Nestled in a quiet marina on the intracoastal waterway yet only a few minute drive or 10 minute walk to the beach. Watch the sunrise and sunset from the community dock chairs or the top deck of your vacation oasis.

Guests have access to the entire boat, however we do ask guests to use the bathroom facilities in clubhouse adjacent to the dock rather than the bathroom on board.
There are nice, clean bathrooms as well as showers located a 1 minute walk from the boat. Think glamping when considering the Charlotte Jean.

Needs repairs
We unfortunately very disappointed as soon as we walked in due to a very strange smell. We also own a large boat that we keep at a marina, so we are used to the smells of fuel and must however this was something quite different.. my husband did find a leak in the bedroom that had severe black mold and wood rot, which is where we assume the smell was coming from. I contacted the owner and she said she had never heard any other complaints and I wanted to send her photos so that she could have her boat repaired, but she never communicated with me any other way to get the photos to her so we were out of the money we paid and had to get a hotel

Unique experience
I surprised my bf with this experience. Super fun. 15 min walk to beach. Gets a bit toasty in July but ac works well as long as its running with plug in fan and keep humidifier dumped. Marina bath/shower house clean and easily accessible. Would recommend for a unique experience!

Glamping should I say?
I gave it a 4 star overall rating because after getting there and starting the air conditioner it quit…no worries it was cool enough outside to open the windows etc…there was a strong smell…I’m not sure if it was a bug spray smell or that it had been closed up for a while…the bed is a bit hard and could use a memory foam topper but great location and was clean when we got there! Would stay again…it is not at all luxury but it is somewhat “glamping”….but yes we would stay again!

Wonderful
We loved staying on the Charlotte Jean! The only reason we listed 4 stars for overall rating was because the AC went out overnight on our second night. So we checked out much earlier than intended due to the heat. I would 100% stay here again though, even with being a bit warm the second night. The boat had EVERYTHING we needed (fridge, stove, microwave, tv, lounge space). We truly enjoyed relaxing and watching the wildlife and watercraft passing by. Seeing fireworks over the holiday from the boat and docks was a treat!
