Firelight Lakeside Retreat sits on a quiet street across from beautiful Cassadaga Lake, home to fishing, kayaking, jet skiing, and boating. The cozy home is near all the amenities including a public beach and playground for kids, a fantastic weekend farmer's market, as well as bars and restaurants, all within a short walk. In winter, enjoy hunting, ice fishing, and over 400 miles of interconnected snowmobile trails!

A 2-minute drive and you can visit Lily Dale, the largest Spiritualist community in the world. A scenic drive down country roads and you're in the heart of the Lake Erie Wine Trail or the slopes of Cockaigne Resort.

Lakeside living awaits with welcoming touches throughout like a tea and coffee bar with a selection of complimentary javas and a wide deck to entertain or take in the serenity of the lake. Our home away from home is our family's happy place and we welcome you to share the magic of Firelight and enjoy this lovely lake community has to offer.

Not Happy
The house was clean, but had not been updated in years and it was dangerous. The stairwell to the upstairs bedrooms was a spiral staircase, the railing only ran to the first turn and the stairs were extremely narrow. I couldn't safely make it up the stairs (I'm 72 and have arthritis in my knees), so I had to sleep in the living room. If I had any intention to shower, the bathtub/shower stall was over one foot high and would have been very difficult to step into. Finally, there is a bleached out, wooden structure in the backyard that is falling down.

The beds are so hard and uncomfortable there is no tv upstairs at all, the stairs going to the bedrooms is a death trap my grandkids fell so many times! The pull plug in the shower to change the water from shower to tub don’t work, when I told the host she replied and told me I must not be intelligent enough to just put the shower head in the tub and let it fill that way! Why would I do that? Put all the bedding on the washer before we left and was ridiculed for doing that too even though it says to put all laundry on washer, figured she would want to wash the bedding since it was slept in! Must be not… the wood for the fire pit is so wet and green won’t even burn… no mop or broom insight to even clean up a mess, one garbage bag for your whole stay and I had 6 people with me so that didn’t cut it, said something to the host about that as well as was told if I looked I would have found more. Didn’t know I had to look through the whole house to find everyday items that should be at reach for the guest. No outside lights so can’t even see when you sit on the front porch at night. The host is a nightmare she kept messaging me and Harassing me after we checked out stating the house smelled like weed mind you nobody smoked anything in that house, she just kept accusing me of it with no proof and didn’t believe me. Said there was koolaid stains on the floor mind you I had a 4yr and 6 yr old with me and again no mop to be found! I could go on and on this host is a nightmare!!!

Beautiful lake front house
This place is so warm and inviting. We were able to spend a relaxing vacation with our dogs. So many sights and smells - the beautiful sunset. Our host was also very gracious and kind. I hope to make it back!

Relaxing and comfortable
We were very happy with the property and had a very relaxing stay. Everything was very clean. It was nice that everything else was also included. We did some fishing, visited some wineries and just took it easy. Will definitely visit again in the future.

Beautiful location
We had a perfect friends weekend. The beautiful view of the lake from the porch as we started and ended our days was amazing. The fire pit and supply of wood the owners provided made cool evenings so nice. The location is close to Lily Dale and perfect for walks. Lisa was quick to answer questions and made the whole long weekend wonderful. Thank you

Great stay!
The property is a great location and was perfect for our trip to lilydale. The only small thing guests should know is the steps going upstairs are very narrow and on a bend. They were harder for my grandmother but it was fine! Overall a great stay and would recommend!

Had a lovely time at Lily Dale. The property is a short drive to Lily Dale. The house is very comfortable and the view of the lake is beautiful. There is a table and 4 chairs outside to enjoy as well. The only issue was the stairs. They are very steep and there are no hand rails. My friend was unable to climb the stairs without the hand rails and slept on the couch. The stairs wind and are steep. I was able to position my fingers going down. And used my hands on the stairs going up.

Lovely Stay on the Lake
My husband and I with our two dogs had the most lovely get away to the lake house. Thank you so much, Lisa for opening your home to us! It was so nice to get away from the humidity of DC and enjoy WNY. Perfect lake front property, excellent neighborhood to walk the dogs and only 10 minutes from Fredonia. We will absolutely be back!

Enjoyable Weekend Stay
The house had everything we needed and was very clean. We would definitely rent this again! We rated the accuracy of the online listing at 4 stars due to the stairs (not shown) to the bedrooms, which may be a little difficult going up & down for some.
