While you're here- you're a local! Stroll to town and take your pick of coffee shops and restaurants, walk the iconic pier, roast marshmallows over the beach fire pits, or catch a wave! The beach playground and chill vibes make this town a family favorite. Your light & bright beach retreat features a 2 bedroom top unit and a 1 bedroom bottom unit (Units are not connected but there are three bedrooms total), laundry, large front deck with fire pit and lounge furniture, back deck perfect for sunbathing, free Wifi, beach essentials, and very easy access to Highway 1!

The Space

This vacation rental is made up of two units. Upstairs, you'll find a two-bedroom home with outstanding views from every window! A comfy living room and well-stocked kitchen are just what you'll need to feel right at home. Two large decks are the perfect place to relax and soak in the salty air. Sit around the fire pit or just lounge in the sun. Downstairs, another one-bedroom unit is completely self-contained with its own bedroom, bathroom, TV area, and kitchen, much like a "guest house" that would be perfect if you have more than one family traveling together, or if you're bringing your parents or adult children along. A separate laundry facility is also on-site.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the, driveway, and free street parking. Wi-Fi is available to stream all your favorite shows or enjoy cable TV in the living room upstairs, but the views of the ocean are so beautiful, you won't need to watch TV!

This rental includes the entire home, which is made up of a two-bedroom top unit and a one-bedroom bottom unit. Each unit has a bathroom, kitchen, dining, and living space. Guests will also have a code to a private laundry room located behind the home.

The Neighborhood

Located up a slight hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the bustling little town of Cayucos's coffee shops, restaurants, and surf shops.  Walking distance to all Cayucos has to offer. Cayucos is located a on cool, colorful Estero Bay on the Central California Coast.  The resort town provides relaxation away from the heat and smog of the California valley, inland, and metropolitan areas. With the Cayucos Pier and miles of sandy beaches — and Morro Bay and its majestic Morro Rock, scenic Cambria, Hearst Castle and wine tasting tours a short drive away — Cayucos is your perfect destination for enjoying California's Central Coast.

House Rules

1. Communication is key!  Check in after 4pm.  Check out by 11am.  Our office hours are between 8am-9pm, so please communicate between those hours and let us know if you plan to arrive after 9pm.

2.  Honesty is the best policy! Let us know about ALL guests who will be coming to the house. Max occupancy is 9. Pets are not allowed.

3. No Parties!  We realize this home holds a lot of people, and the beach is a lot of fun, but please respect The Sand and Surf beach house as if it's your own. No smoking of any kind. Removal of smoke detectors is illegal. Loud music, excessive rowdiness, excessive drinking, smoking, etc. will result in a $1,000 party fine. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am.

4. Be respectful! When using outdoor areas (deck, bbq, fire pit), games, and provided beach amenities, please clean up after yourself so the next guests can enjoy them as well.  Rinse and replace the beach toys and boogie boards. If something is wrong, low, or out, please let us know so we can fix it.

5. Have fun! Our goal is to host a vacation to remember. If this doesn't sound like a good fit, let us know what you're looking for and we can point you in the right direction. We'll always do our best to make sure you have the best time!

6. Act like a local! Please don't leave trash outside where it will attract birds and other wild animals.  There is a provided trash bin for your convenience.  If you're parking on the street, park the correct way and don't block the street or others' driveways. Never leave trash on the beach.  Thank you!
