Nice property. Bathrooms were nicely appointed. Cleaning could have been a little better. However some pictures of bed layout is not the standard for all rooms. It’s not clear what room type you are booking. Some king rooms have the beds positioned on the middle of the room. Odd layout and they couldn’t accommodate my request for bed position against the wall.

Everything was great except the air conditioning. I like to have my air set at around 68 for sleeping and I had to turn it to 63 and it still didn’t feel as cool as 68.

The hotel was everything described. Excellent way to see and stay in Charleston for a fraction of the cost of a night stay. Stay smart and stay just out of downtown and you’ll be really happy here.

Nice place, but nothing special
We checked in late in the evening and by the time it was time to shower no one was at the front desk. We had four people trying to shower and no matter how long we ran the water there was no hot water. Their website mentioned the restaurant and bar on the first floor, but no menus available. We went somewhere else for dinner. It wasn’t worth what I paid to stay overnight.

My experience at the Cambria Hotel was average. For a beautiful property I was not expecting to have to run the tap water in order to get the shower to heat up. The AC system stopped working in the room, and when I texted them asking for towels, we never got them and asked a housekeeper for a few to which she rolled her eyes and reluctantly passed them over. I will however say, when we brought this to the front desk's attention, they switched us to a new room and it was 10x better, the water was actually hot and the AC worked perfectly. The front desk staff always acknowledged us with a smile and a hello or have a good day. The property itself had good parking, and was in a great location, 20 minutes or less from any activity, the airport, or a decent restaurant.
