This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

The Perfect Spot

Great spot for our family of 4. Separate bedrooms for parents and kids and enough room to move around. Property itself was quiet and close enough to downtown without being in the mix. Parking was easy and always accessible. We didn’t utilize the loft but would be great for a larger party. Would stay at this property or with this company again.

Outstanding Stay
So many plusses to this stay! The communication was fast and accurate. The unit itself is very well appointed. The decor is a fun retro/mid-century and super cute. The towels and linens were high quality and there were plenty per person, including a thoughtful black washcloth for keeping makeup marks off the nice white towels. They provided all the bathroom and kitchen basics, including a nice coffee setup (ground coffee, filters, and powder cream is all there with no stop at a store needed your first night). The neighborhood was highly walkable to local amenities, markets, restaurants, and the action along King Street. The neighborhood is very well kept, lots of pedestrian traffic, and we felt very safe. Parking was ample. Just one important thing to note. If you have ambulatory issues this may not be the best spot for you. There is a single set of steep steps going up to the entry of the unit (we had no problem with them at all). One of the bedrooms is a lofted space with a ladder that pulls out from the wall. It is quite a few rungs of climbing each way, so important to consider who may be able to handle that. We were a party of two friends, one per room, and we thought the space was perfect for us and had an excellent stay.

Inaccurate Listing - Beware!
This listing is deceptive & our discussions with property management should have resulted in updates to the issues that required us to seek additional accommodations - The deceptive pictures remain on the listing. Before I provide review, property mgmt typically replies that guests should have asked more questions - When pictures are switched or altered to deceptively conceal critical info, more questions are not the problem. Upon arrival, with found the accommodations for six, could only provide for four. The loft bedroom is only accessible by a narrow rung-ladder about 10' to 12 ' up. The unsafe ladder is not possible for regular use. Property mgmt was well aware of the loft accessibility issue as they intentionally substituted a picture that either removed the bolted-in-place vertical ladder, or utilized a picture with no ladder form a unit that does not have a loft/attic. Management was attentive to our concerns on phone and text, trying to work out solutions for our party with other available units. There were no viable options. The result was to offer and our agreement for a partial refund (about 1/3 total cost) to cover 2 of our guests finding a hotel, while we used the two accessible bedrooms. They are now non-communicative, & no refund has been processed. We have been more than patient - delaying our review. Note; "six-person" rung ladder renters -The 2 bathrooms are only accessible through lower BRs. The exterior stair is not pictured either...

This was a great place to stay in a nice quiet neighborhood. It does have 3 beds but the loft was not usable in our opinion. One shower did not have hot water. Nice kitchen. There are some nice restaurants nearby. We would stay again if it was not upstairs as the steps are fairly steep, we didn’t notice that being upstairs in the description. Only sleeps 4 unless your very agile.

Nice Charleston Apartment
The unit was a top floor unit that was in excellent condition. Cozy enough for the 4 adults staying there. There is a loft with another sleeping space that we did not us. Good for kids or teens. Airconditioning was nice too. Property has coffee shops close by and is about a 10 -minute walk to King Street for shops and restaurants. Parking was ample here and it was easy to get in and out of the area.

My group and I had a great experience staying here! The best and smoothest check out I’ve ever had staying at a property like this. Great location, clean and had everything we needed. Only concern was the third bedroom was lofted and that was not advertised in the listing. Otherwise a great time!

Could have been better
The stay in this unit was just ok. The location is great if you want to be just on the edge of the main downtown area. We were able to walk to most places and we also had couple good restaurants very close to us. Aside from the location, the unit itself barely meet the needs of 4 adults. There is a third bedroom that is a loft with a ladder that pulls away from the wall and is very steep. The couch is so uncomfortable that only one person was able to stand sitting on it. There was only one other chair in the small room so we brought in a chair from the bedroom and a chair from the balcony. The one chair in the living room had a broken leg, fortunately we saw it in time and was able to stabilize it so it wouldn’t buckle under someone. There’s very little storage in the kitchen or in the cramped little bedroom. The whole place had a cramped feeling for 4 adults. We were snug while sitting together for meals around the counter. One bedroom had a air conditioner leak which got into a suitcase and clothing - from the looks of the warped floor, this probably wasn’t the first time. They did come the same day to fix it. Later that week, the air conditioner started to vibrate loudly - fortunately it was our last day. The fan and lights in one bedroom turned on by itself several times over couple nights, as well as in once in the other bedroom. The hot water never seems makes it to the bathroom faucet unless you run the shower. Both bathroom faucets were not attached to counter. There was nail sticking out in one of the bathroom entry threshold. The outdoor stairs to the unit are in need of maintenance, the balcony is slanted, overall there were many small things that were off. We did take a peak into the neighboring unit and although it was similar in layout without the loft, it had more seating and seemed to have a better flow. Management was responsive to our calls and texts during our stay but once we vacated, we didn’t hear from then again. So overall the stay was fine, location worked well for us but there were just too many little things that were off in this unit for a comfortable stay for 4 adults.

Perfect getaway
We had the absolute best time on our trip. The place was clean, adorable, and had everything we needed. We loved the close coffee and cheesesteak shop and the little market was handy too. Everything we wanted was in walking distance or a quick drive. Checking in and out of the place was simple and any questions we had were answered promptly. My kids loved the ladder to the loft, and I loved drinking coffee on the little outdoor porch. We can’t wait to visit Charleston again!

My best VRBO experience ever
The property is newly remodeled and absolutely adorable. Rentals usually look better in the pictures, but in this case, the apartment looked just as beautiful, if not more so, than in the pictures. We were very pleasantly surprised. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. Check in was incredibly easy with a 4 digit code, and pushing a button to lock when you leave. The beds were large and very comfortable. Both the a/c and the fans worked perfectly in all rooms. I like it pretty cool at night when I sleep, and it was very nice. The sheets and comforter were very nice and like new, if not brand new. Bright white and not a trace of any stains or wear. They had an iron and an ironing board in the closet, and I believe, a pack and play. The sofa and chair in the family room were comfy and perfect for our small group. The TV had Netflix, Prime video and Hulu, and we watched a few movies while we were there. The kitchen was beautifully updated, with everything you could possibly need. Toaster, microwave, oven, stove, blender, utensils, dishes, etc… There was a dishwasher and washer and dryer, and detergent was included. The old fashioned style (but brand new) refrigerator was the perfect size, and so cute. The decor was very stylish, professionally decorated, but also comfortable and calming. The two showers had great water pressure and everything was extremely clean, which is a big selling point for me, as I’m a bit of a germaphobe. There were plenty of fresh white towels, more than we even needed, plus some black washcloths for removing makeup, which is a great idea! There were soaps, shampoo, conditioner, and make up remover wipes. There was a blow dryer, and even a flat iron, which was wonderful as I flew in from another state and didn’t have room for mine. We had the windows closed the whole time, but even when we were coming and going, it was quiet in the neighborhood. There was plenty of room for parking, and the parking was free. There was a fenced in area to take out trash conveniently located in the parking lot. The area is very walkable for anywhere you want to go in the King Street and historic area. We also used Uber for an evening out on King Street ( we were wearing heels) and it was a short, and inexpensive trip. Highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here if I’m ever in Charleston again. Thank you for the southern hospitality!
