rat poop, smokey, loud and cold
there was a shelf in the kitchen with rat poop and the beginnings for a nest.temps were cold outside and inside when we contacted host about being cold they told us to look for space heaters in closets and use them. we had 5 space heaters going and the two eyes on the stove and we finally got the temp up to 70 . if you are use to living in the city the noise may not bother you but the road noise was loud until about 2am and the train track near by was cool to see in the day but very loud at night.also the shades did not block out the light at night at all the place need a good deep cleaning.and apparently the bathroom vent comes from the neighbor who lives on the back of the house and apparently he smokes.the smell of stain smoke was always in the bathroom we found out it helps the smell to leave the bathroom fan on at all times. on a positive side it is walking distance from a few good places to eat one called Odells and one called the Blackstone grill.and the location was great for sight seeing 10 to 20 minutes from most destinations rock city was our favorite and the aquarium was second.
