Great hotel that we have stayed at several times. We checked in with ease and were sent a text with the room number and pin #. We proceeded to the room, opened the door with the code, and unloaded our belongings. My girlfriend then proceeded to take a shower while I finished unpacking. As she was exiting the shower, our room entry door was knocked on several times. She came out in her towel wondering what was going on before I could get to answering the door. As she stood in the hallway, entirely undressed except for her towel, the entry door opened and was thankfully stopped short by the chain. She spotted a male at the door and ran back into the room while I walked up to the door to see who was opening the door unannounced. A man, who I eventually recognized from the front desk, immediately started questioning me, asking me who I was, who checked me in, why was I in the room etc. without informing me of a situation that had seemingly occurred with the room.
A short while later, still very bewildered and concerned, we received a text from the front desk that simply said "Sorry for the mix up earlier. We have resolved the issue...". I feel like this issue has not been resolved and it had the potential to escalate in the moment had I not been cool-headed. As anyone does, we expect safe, secure accommodations while visiting Chattanooga.
