Yes and no on this one
The first room I was given (302/2) had little Wi-Fi, not very clean and a bathroom with a tub pulling away from the wall. When you see (/2) it means it was once one apartment that was divided in two. There was a door between, but I could hear the guy snoring next door. A mattress and furniture were placed against the door!
I did talk to the manager and she gave me a much better room (1018) with excellent Wi-Fi and much cleaner! But it had a very odd sloped glass top table. Can’t figure that out. Glasses slide from one end to the other!
The staff is wonderful here and the restaurant downstairs is excellent. Very good “American” breakfast for about $5 USD. Inexpensive laundry service. Nice job.
I had to walk about 35 minutes to get to the Night Bazaar. Good thing I love to walk! Tuk-Turks are pretty available. Negotiate prices.
Nice restaurants up Chang Klang Rd, on the right. And some good street food vendors, on the left. Stop by the happy “donut” maker, he sells “ salabao” and “platango”. Plain, simple deep- fried donuts I love with coffee. This is the outskirts of a Muslim community, so very interesting and different. Take a walk toward town up Cheurn Prathet Rd
Felt a little uncomfortable walking down the poorly- lit lane at night, but I bought a flashlight and it was safe.
All in all, I could recommend there, but just be careful to check which apartment you get placed. The quality can vary considerably.
Chieng Mai is the real prize here. All else is extra!
