1700 sqft penthouse in the historic west end of the West Loop. Nestled on a quiet street, minutes away from incredible restaurants, coffee shops, yoga studios, and nightlife. A floor to ceiling gut-rehab was completed in 2019—the space was engineered with hospitality in mind. Featuring large bedrooms, loads of natural sunlight, an outdoor balcony, charging and hydration stations, a pellet grill, and smart home technology. PARKING
There’s free street parking passes that will be on-site for guests throughout the duration of your stay. We will need to know the number of vehicles to ensure that we have enough parking passes available. One private parking space is available in the back of the building upon request and approval.

CHECK-IN TIME
Typically, guests may receive the keys and drop their bags in the condo as early as 1pm. The cleaners do need until 3PM to do their work.
If you'd like to drop your bags early, we can usually accommodate you.

If you'd like to take a nap or shower right away, and the night before your stay isn't booked yet, let's discuss early check-in options.

There are two air mattresses in the property, both sleep incredibly well, and are kept in the closet of the 2nd bedroom, and hallway coat closet closest to the kitchen. Extra Linens can be found in the coat closet as well.

Guest access

The entire condo is yours during your stay! You will not share this condo with anyone outside of your own group!

Guests may request an early bag drop off as early as 1:00PM, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate, but we will try our best. In the cases that we can accommodate, bags can be dropped off after which time we ask that you leave the condo until 3:00PM to let the cleaners finish cleaning.

Good location, very clean, good value
We had a great stay. Location is easy walk to green or pink line Ashland station. Also easy walk (15 min) to West Loop shops/restaurants. Parking on street was easy (Thanksgiving holiday). Communication with owner was great. Check in was described well and easy to follow but there are a lot of steps - code for gate, code for lockbox, code for door and lots of literal steps to 4th floor. Butfelt very secure. Great location for our needs!
The building is in a great spot! There are challenges though. The biggest things: 4th floor walk up - no elevator. Old building so tromping up and down the stairs is loud and we worried about disturbing the neighbors. For such a large place, seating is sparse. Master bedroom has no usable closet and the en suite shower is missing a glass door so it’s impossible to keep water from getting on the floor.

69 STEPS TO UNIT BUT WHOS COUNTING
Check in was very confusing. Grill was broken and not told to us ahead of time. Shower door missing and floor was always getting wet. Kitchen was poorly stocked and old. Beds were very soft and uncomfortable. Faucets not secure in master bath. No cushion for outside couches. Had to empty dishwasher before using kitchen. No closet in master bedroom. No tvs in any of the bedrooms.

Great Property!
I have nothing but good things to say about the property and the owner. The condo was clean and neat when we arrived. The check-in process was easy and the location was perfect for us. This owner has gone above and beyond for me. I accidentally had a couple of Amazon packages delivered to the condo address. Owner graciously agreed to forward my packages to my home address. All in all, a great experience!

Hosts do not care about you at all, hope you never have to change your reservation
I stayed at this VRBO in 2023 and found it to be quite nice. I did not have much interaction with the hosts at that time. I liked it enough to book again for 2024. I booked for Jan 2024. That weekend Winter Storm/Blizzard Gerri hit Wisconsin (where I live) and Chicago (where the VRBO is). The National Weather Service issued multiple warnings that travel would be impossible, stressed the importance of not travelling, and even grounded all flights in and out of O'Hare Saturday morning of that weekend. I communicated multiple times with the host about my concerns about being unable to drive to the VRBO and they told me it was 'just a little snow' and they would not refund anything and I should have purchased travel insurance. I called VRBO and spent multiple hours speaking with their customer service. Their customer service then spoke with the host. Customer service told me the host declined to speak with them because it was 'dinner time', later customer service told me that this host was unusually adamant about not cancelling or refunding anything for this trip. VRBO has a policy where it will allow hosts to cancel bookings if there is a natural disaster such as a blizzard without repercussion from VRBO for cancellation. VRBO assured me that this case would fall under this policy, but it was up to the host to cancel. The host refused to cancel. The host did not care if I would die trying to get to the VRBO, they were not at all sympathetic about the situation.

Great location if you want to climb 4 flights of stairs.
Overall we were happy with the location of the condo, but some things need to be fixed or done a different way. The check in process did not go in our favor. The house was not ready for us to enter when we arrived at 3, the cleaning crew was still onsite and we had to wait 20 minutes. There are 2 ways to enter the condo, the front door by using the key in the lockbox. There were 8+ lockboxes hanging on a fence. When we finally figured out which one belonged to us and got it opened, the key was missing. We had to use the back staircase, similar to a fire escape to enter and leave the condo. For my 81 year old mother that was a challenge. The condo does not have a Kuerig coffee pot (we brought our own K-cups) thank goodness someone else left ground coffee with filters behind or we would have been out of luck. The second day of the trip the heat would not come on and the owners solution was to send us video on how to turn it on. By the next morning the condo was 53 degrees and a technician was sent out to fix it on our last night there. The main bathroom shower has a glass door missing and it made it very difficult to not get water on the floors. The tv remotes did not have batteries. We had to end up casting from one of our tablets to watch tv. This could be a great place to stay if better instructions had been given.

Huge Place, very comfortable stay.
The apartment was big. There were 4 adults in our group, and on our last day we realized that we really hadn't used the front half of the place at all. It's about 3 blocks from an L train stop, and 1 block from 2 bus stops. Fairly easy to get to and from. It's a 4 floor walk up, so if you can't handle stairs this isn't the right place for you. We had a blast though. Super clean, really nice hosts, and my shower was hot with great water pressure.

Great weekend in Chicago
Our group of six adults had a fantastic weekend! We enjoyed hanging out on the balcony for coffee and then taking the L downtown to the loop. One note is to read the listing completely— this property has three bedrooms, which sleep 6 — any remaining people would have to sleep on air mattresses or the (very comfortable) couch. Thanks so much for a great weekend!

Arrived property where streets and all yards around were littered with trash. Disgusting neighborhood. Then opened lockbox to retrieve key to enter building…no key in lockbox. Was cold outside and stood outside for nearly 20 minutes before someone else in the building let us in. Tried calling host and did not respond for a while and didn’t even call back, just sent message to tell me where spare key was and that previous guests left original key on top of mantle. How did the cleaner get in? How did they not notice key wasn’t in lockbox? Got into place and found pubic hairs on toilet, dishes were dirty in dishwasher and beds were uncomfortable. I was embarrassed, as I was the one who rented this place for a family trip. I am a superhost for my own properties and this was filthy. Would not recommend. The host even asked me to leave him a positive review, which would be dishonest if I did.

4th floor steep stairs, pleasant space, good location
The space, amenities, and location are all largely as described. What is not described is that it is a 4th floor walk up. I did not ask, and will always ask about that kind of access before any future booking anywhere. The owner was responsive in communication. The art is abundant and lovely, but made me slightly nervous about apparent value. There is a large high window in main bedroom that cannot be covered, so light shines in on the bed at sunrise. The balcony is small and shabby. There are rules like quiet time starts at 9 that are also not in the listing. Fine with us, but seems like rules should be in listings too.

Great Apartment in West Loop
This is a nice large property that has plenty of room for several guests at a very reasonable price. The four of us were quite comfortable here for a quick two day visit to Chicago. Lots of good restaurants, etc. within a reasonable walking distance of the apartment. I would definitely recommend this apartment.
