Overall the room was huge and the laundry machines were great. The bed was very comfortable. The heat wasn’t working the first day though and it’s hard to get anyone to come because no one is on property and there is no front desk. You need a front desk. Communicating with staff over text that they don’t answer for hours doesn’t work. The rooms are amazing (other than the fact there was no shower chair so I couldn’t shower properly) but yall need staff 24/7 at a hotel to be able to be called a hotel.

This property if very convenient. It is a 15 minute walk to the nearest train station. Plenty of food options around, although I didn’t find any nearby grocery stores. It is all self-service but was exactly what I was looking for. The rooms are spacious and clean. Fully equipped kitchen. Includes washer and dryer too! I will definitely stay here again!

The apartment was great - stylish, had everything I needed, and was in a location that worked for me (but might not be for people who want somewhere more suitable for tourists / families). Unfortunately, on 2 occasions during my 4 day stay the apartment flooded. While the maintenance staff were helpful, providing towels and fans, the issue was not resolved. It had clearly happened before because the apartment smelled damp from a soaking wet rug. I was very disappointed that the management made no attempt to apologise, offer an alternative room or compensation. There was also no clear place or instructions about what to do in the event of a tornado (which happened on 2 nights.) A number of residents ended up in a basement which appeared to be a building site and felt unsafe. Both of these issues feel like problems associated with the property being newly renovated and not quite ready. Assuming they are addressed, and the communication improves, I would stay again because the apartment was great.

We liked every bit of our stay at The Neighborhood Hotel in Little Italy. would stay again if the opportunity came our way. We've stayed in more than 25 home rentals and our time in your hotel would rank tied for #1. If I had a complaint, I would add that the key pads used for entry were very hard to see at night!, sometimes requiring three or more failed attempts.

A Perfect Spot for Any Occassion!
The Neighborhood Hotel is a very romantic spot in a not-so-hectic part of Chicago. Close to one of the colleges, so there is an okay night life, good restaurants, and everything you would need for your stay right there. Parking isn’t included, but using Spot Hero there were some spots EXTREMELY close to the hotel. I would high recommend it as an up-scale hotel that feels very much like an apartment setting. Highly recommend!
