Great location for hiking
This cabin is very close to Savage Gulf, full of spectacular hiking. The shower is great with wonderful water pressure, plenty of hot water and a shower head placed high enough for tall people. Nice that there is a gas stove too. We were plenty warm on very chilly nights.

What an amazing place!
My son and I were planning to go camping right before Thanksgiving but the weather was kind of iffy (cold and rainy). We wanted to be by a lake to go fishing and be close to places to hike. This place was perfect! It's like we had a whole campsite to ourselves. Lots of nature to see. It was close enough to Chattanooga to spend a day there and then come back to the cabin for campfires and more fishing. We can't wait to come back and bring my wife and daughter. They can sleep in the cabin while we camp in a tent outside. My wife is NOT a camper. Ha! The location is right between Nashville and Chattanooga. Perfect distance for a quick trip. Hope to explore more of Monteagle next time.

Anniversary trip
We enjoyed our stay at this quiet spot. We kayaked the lake without disturbances and only saw a handful of other people on the water. But be prepared to get muddy on your way down into the water. We enjoyed the provided firewood and fire pit area and having somewhere clean and cozy to sleep. The provided coffee and snacks were awesome. Would definitely come back! Thank you!

Perfect!
Wanted a relaxing “get out of the hustle and bustle” getaway. This was ideal for that and a home base while visiting through Fall Creek Falls, Monteagle and Sewanee! We’ll be back!

Get Away
Very nice little cabin, just as described, Reel Simple Cabin. Very nice location, beautiful property, well maintained, cabin and landscape. Great view of the lake from the front porch, loved the sunset over the lake the first day we were there. Got to explore the lake by canoe, lily pads, wild life. and friendly neighbors. Quiet little community of well kept houses and land surrounded and shared the lake. Enough wooded land to still feel rural. Hope to come back again sometime. Did not meet the owners but communication with them online was quick and very pleasant. Miles and Donna Phillips

Max Relaxation
This is the absolute perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the rat race. Pick this spot and I promise you it will not disappoint you. Kimberly is a wonderful host, there if you need her but provides you the space you need to enjoy your privacy. Thank you Kimberly for making this wonderful space. We absolutely love it!!!

Nice place to escape
It is a super nice place to get away to when you’re tired of the hustle and bustle and want peace and quiet. Beautiful view. Very responsive and communicative host. They literally thought of everything with this place. Bring yourselves and food. Hosts took care of any other need. I wish that we could have paddle boarded and fished, but lily pads made that impossible. It is a very serene place to be. Close to many places to hike. We would give it another try.

We booked this because we were going to see a show at the Caverns, but I would come back just to stay here! Really wonderful little cabin on the lake. Very private, quiet and relaxing. Would book again!

Quiet and Peaceful
This was our second time at the cabin , it is a great little cabin . We fished everyday and enjoyed just sitting on the porch swing and relaxing , The host is great and available for whatever you need. The dogs loved all the property they could explore.

Quick Anniversary Getaway

Reel Awesome Cabin!
My husband and I along with our frenchie stayed 5 nights and experienced the most peaceful and relaxing vacation we expected. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The views of the lake were so beautiful to wake up to each morning. Check in/out was easy. Kimberly (the host) made sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend staying here and we hope to visit again in the future. Thank you again Kimberly for being an exceptional host!

Hiking-Fishing-Concerts-Relaxing
Great location, private, clean, & peaceful. We were close to The Caverns Venue we went 2 of the 3 nights we were at Real Simple Cabin. Hiked a ton, lots of cool waterfalls in the area. Great fire pit, used both grills, fished & even caught a couple fish. Definitely return and bring our kayaks!

Peaceful Birthday Getaway
I was planning a birthday getaway for my wife and I and came across this listing. The photos do not do it justice. This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Peaceful, quiet, private and easy to find. To top off the other benefits, the cabin sits just off a beautifully peaceful lake. Would definitely recommend staying here and will likely be going back in the future with the kiddos! Thank you to the host for the hospitality.
