You will adore this peaceful retreat that is close to the Outer Banks but without the tourist crowds!

This 1945 cottage was completely gutted and renovated recently. Every effort was made to retain original materials - including the heart pine floors - while incorporating eco-friendly and sustainable elements. Careful attention to décor was made to ensure that your stay will be relaxing and serene.

Start your day with the stunning sunrise over the Currituck Sound that is easily seen from the living room with picture window.

Fix your breakfast in the fully outfitted chef's kitchen with bar that seats 4, then take it to the front porch!

Your lunch can be eaten in the dining room that seats 4 or on the back patio. Later, you can fix dinner on the charcoal grill or make s'mores at the fire pit!

You will sleep like royalty in the two bedrooms with amazingly comfortable queen-sized beds. The gorgeous pictures in each room were taken by a local photographer. A third bedroom upstairs has 2 twin beds.

The sofa folds out to a queen-sized bed for extra guests. The living room is also equipped with a Smart TV offering cable channels and the option to stream with the cottage Netflix channel via the hi-speed internet.

The shed in back yard houses 2 adult sized kayaks with seats and holes for fishing rods, plus two child sized kayaks. Life jackets, a boogie board, beach toys, corn hole boards, a beach umbrella, an inflatable boat, and swim rings complete the amenities offered.

The private dock is only 2 years old and is ideal for fishing, crabbing, paddle boarding or kayaking, but the water is shallow so NO DIVING, please!

The Currituck Sound is known for its freshwater catches, including largemouth bass, catfish, sunfish and crabs. Currituck Sports just before the little Coinjock bridge sells freshwater fishing licenses. A public boat launch is just a few miles away, so bring your jet-ski!

After spending your day outdoors on the beach, or visiting the local shops and restaurants, you will be delighted to return to this quiet cottage where the star-gazing is unparalleled.

Quaint and well appointed. Clean as a whistle with lots of amenities. Easy in easy out. Property manager’s care and appreciation for her property shows. I was there for a nice venue post duck hunting. I can only imagine how nice it would be in the Spring and Summer. Great renovation of an older house.

Magical Place
Perfect place to spend time in peace and quiet. The sunrises are spectacular from the porch or the private dock. The kitchen is so nice for visiting and preparing meals. It’s easy to get to Outer Banks, Norfolk, Sanctuary Vineyards for wine lovers is a great options. Lots and lots to explore in the area. I would stay here anytime I visit the area. Theresa, the host is great to work with as well.

The house was clean, well-apportioned, and quiet- it had everything we could want! The only drawback was that it was pretty far from all the action. We had never been down to OBX, so we didn't realize how far it was to drive to different destinations. Otherwise, we had a lovely stay!

Our stay at Waterview Cottage
Overall our experience was very good. We enjoyed the cottage, the dock watching the sunrise and just relaxing. Quiet neighborhood and really enjoyed our walks along the sound. The only complaint I had was the very high overall fees for the condo. We had an owner service fee, $100 cleaning fee (which is reasonable), $200 pet cleaning fee (not reasonable especially since our dog weighs 20 pounds and shed very little) and tax (which of course we have to pay). The fees totaled over $750. So because of the high fees, we may not stay again and look for another place.

June 2024 Weekend Work Getaway!
The house was amazing and very clean with everything that you may think you need, so if you forget something they most likely have it already there, ive never experienced anything like that. It appeared to be an older home that was upgraded. This was an awesome time away and convenient to the beach, although im used to a long ride for my work. If i had, to give any gripe, which i wouldnt, but if i had to.....maybe some outlets near the bed and perhaps a boxspring or an upgraded mattress......but im old, lol. The owners were very accommodating, respectful and truthful about everything. All the extras that were there made for an exceptional trip......and thank god theres no bathroom scale because the food around there was to die for.

Great place to get away!
We loved our stay in Coinjack. It’s far enough away from the city but close to all the things we wanted to see. The host is just super to work with. I highly recommend to anyone and will stay there again in the future.

We had a lovely time and loved the peacefulness and beautiful water views. On day two, when the temp dipped, it seemed to be the case that the furnace was not working. Also, we missed having metal eating utensils and some cooking spoons! Otherwise, the cottage was extremely well-equipped.

Family Beach Trip
This was our first experience renting from someone we didn’t know personally. It was quick and easy. The owner answered any questions I had quickly. We looked up ideas of activities beforehand, but found a binder with local activities, restaurants, and reviews from previous visitors. Super cute and quiet neighborhood. We were close by a lot of tourist activities while giving my son who is on the spectrum, a quiet place to relax in between.

Relaxing Cabin on the Sound
We had a great time staying at this house. My husband and I stayed in one room and my parents the other. The space was perfect with a great kitchen if you cook in like we did. We enjoyed taking pictures of the sunrise from the dock and walking along the edge of the sound. For outings, the house was about 45 min from Kitty Hawk which made it a great location for day excursions along the OBX coastline. We saw lighthouses, visited historical towns, enjoyed the beach, and shopped till we dropped.

Quiet
The location is perfect for anyone wanting peace and quiet and a safe feeling. It is quite a drive to most of the Outerbanks beaches and activities though. On average, an hour and 10 mins to most things to do. 50 mins from closet beach (which quickly became our fav beach due to easy access and less populated). The house is nice and clean, the owner communicated very promptly and the check in and out process was a breeze. The only wish I have is that the entire house had curtains, not just the bedrooms. We very much enjoyed our stay and vacation! Thank you!

The location was gorgeous and a short ride to outer banks beaches, great restaurants and tourist attractions. It was nice to be off the beaten path. Lots of fishing spots and the option of wading in the warmer inner bank water.

We LOVED this property. It was out of the way and very peaceful. The neighbors were very welcoming. You couldn't ask for a better view, and the drive to the beach was only 30 minutes. And the whole family loved the shower. I would HIGHLY recommend this property for anyone looking to get away.

Cozy Cottage With Amazing Views
My family and I stayed over Memorial weekend and had the best time. This house is better than the pictures. Every detail is well thought out and you will find everything you need to make your stay more enjoyable. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen and front room view was my favorite. The view of the sound from the cottage and pier were beautiful. We tooks lots of long walks around the neighborhood and the neighbors are very friendly. Day trips to Corolla and Nags Head. Lots do and see within a 30 min drive. Would stay here again! Thank you Theresa! We loved it!
