Don't hesitate to stay here! We were very satisfied with our stay, especially considering the reasonable price. Speaking of price, it was wonderfully refreshing that exorbitant fees weren't added to the stay. Recently we've found ourselves just staying at hotels again because some hosts want to tack on outlandish fees, skyrocketing the nightly price.
The area was central to Colorado Springs and the sights we wanted to see. You have 2 close neighbors, but they were very quiet, zero interaction or issues with them.
The "cottage" is charming and perfect if you want the convince of home, and a bit more space than a hotel room. Nicely and simply decorated. CLEAN. Stocked with everything & more than you'll need. Even some extras like popcorn, spices, oils etc.
I really appreciated the little touches, like cooking utensils being stacked neatly in the drawers. The paper products being folded/presented. Those little details might not stand out to some, but they do to us, and we appreciate them. It shows an extra level of care.
There really weren't any complaints. You can tell that while presented nicely, it's still an old property. Theres a bit of a slant, really it just added to the charm for us. It's not a luxury villa, but we didn't want that, and it's not priced as such.
My only real suggestion would be pathway lights and something more noticeable (perhaps a light) near the mailbox so you can see the driveway/turn more clearly at night. We hope to return.
