Cozy Mountainside Cottage

Envelop yourself in the quiet and quaint town of Palmer Lake where hiking, biking, lake activities and specialty restaurants are steps away. "Little Bear View" offers a quiet retreat with close proximity to Colorado Springs, Monument, Castle Rock and Denver. Enjoy expansive lake, mountain and city views from three private patios. The cottage is frequently visited by deer and bear who enjoy fresh apples from the tree in the yard. Natural light fills the cottage making it feel cozy and inviting.

Perfection!
We loved pretty much everything about this place. It was clean and had just the right amount of space. My boys loved the loft space. The view was so nice and relaxing. We are hoping to stay here again in the future!

This is not a 3 bedroom
We were very disappointed with the listing description, this is not a three bedroom. It is a two bedroom home with an attic space they have renovated into a loft and it is open to the main living space. The house was otherwise great, our kids ended up sleeping on the floor of our bedroom because of the open loft and the temperatures in the loft. The house was a great location, close to amazing local restaurants and activities.

Great place to stay
It was a perfect place to stay for a friends wedding. The check-in was easy and I was able to add an extra night at the last minute. It is a small house but plenty of room for 3 adults. Very cutely decorated and clean. Great views and location is close to Garden of the Gods and Colorado Springs.

Small clean cottage in a wonderful location for us to visit with our Cadet during Parents Weekend. We were able to eat good food and hike in the area without having to go into the Springs. Very quiet neighborhood. Owners were easy to communicate with and check in/check out was seemless.

Perfect Getaway Location
We rented this property for a friends reunion. This location was absolutely perfect for the 5 of us. Everything was very clean and well organized. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked with plenty of supplies so that we never ran out of TP, paper towel, towels, garbage bags, and coffee. Communication was also fantastic. I thoroughly recommend this property and am so very happy we found it!

Lovely Little Bear Cottage
My family, which includes a toddler,stayed for 2 nights while attending a wedding at the Spruce Ranch Event Center. This cottage was just perfect for our stay and had all the amenities we hoped for. Manager Tye communicated quickly and provided us with local suggestions and help. We loved the daily deer visits, the stunning views and the outdoor furniture to fully experience Palmer Lake. The only thing one needs to be aware of is that the roads are rather steep to the property and are gravel, but we were able to navigate them withoutf a problem. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Perfect little cabin
Our daughter had her wedding at Spruce Mountain Ranch. This cabin and location was perfect for us. We were close to Monument to get groceries, beautiful view of Lake Palmer with close hiking trails and restaurants within walkable distance. The cabin was clean and cute with friendly deer who visited us on a daily basis. Don't worry......we did not feed them but they sure liked the apple tree in the front yard. Easy to find and we had the most beautiful views of the mountain side. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful summer getaway.
Comfortable cottage in the hills above Palmer Lake. Great views of the lake and town below and mountains all around. Several cozy sitting areas outside for relaxing and enjoying the view. Well apportioned. Peaceful and quiet. A great jumping off point for visits to Monument and Colorado Springs. What's not to like?

Unfortunate Experience
We were not allowed to check in at 4pm bc the property was not ready, not clean. The owner was difficult to work with & at one point tried to evict us for not being happy about checking in at 5pm. This interrupted our trip once again, with a long wait & phone call to VRBO. VRBO was very helpful & saved the day. If you choose this property just beware that if you have an issue, the owner is unresponsive to punitive.

Nice Mountainside Cottage
Our stay at the mountainside cottage was nice. It was very clean and comfortable. Another plus was that pets were allowed. The only really downside was the parking and the ease of getting into the driveway. We have a pickup truck and our other family members that stayed with us had a car. Every time one of us had to leave, the other would have to go back their vehicle out of the driveway to let each other's vehicle out. It was a small inconvenience. Overall the stay was very nice.

Blue Cottage
Very cute cottage with great view of Palmer Lake and town. Weather was nice enough for us eat on the patio in the evennings. Got to talk to a few deer eatting by cottage Tye responed to all of our messages. Very pleased with the Mountian Cottage.

Pet Friendly cottage in foothills
Our 15 year old wiener dog “Minnie” loved this place, and so did we! Perfect location for a get-a-way. Beautiful view, and the deer seemed tame. Highly recommend this cottage.

Beautiful getaway
This cottage is a great get away. There is a nice amount of space and seclusion. Our little kids really enjoyed the loft area, but I wouldn’t recommend the twin mattresses for people older than 8/9yr. Perfect for little ones though. We enjoyed our stay!

Outstanding view of Lake and mountains. Well used space in this cozy cabin. 2 bedrooms, comfortable couch and loft with chairs that fold out to 2 single beds. Well equipped kitchen with spacious refrigerator, range and dishwasher. Living area is good for conversation, eating, playing games. Patio area is good for conversation. Retaining wall makes parking a little challenging. Remote was not working for living room fan and light. We enjoyed our stay. Had some space for ourselves. If we are in the area again, we will stay here.
