A Week in Woodland Park
The property is absolutely amazing with large, separate areas for various activities as well as several spatial bedroom areas. The kitchen was well stocked with condiments and basic supplies, so we didn't need to purchase such items. A few surprises, however. There is no air conditioning in the 2 wings and the temps were over 90 degrees when we arrived; floor fans were available, but it took a little bit to figure out there was no a/c in some of the bedrooms. It would have been helpful if there was a notebook with some of the basic information about the house. The most major issue was that the group before our week did not secure the garage bins, so our 1st morning we were greeted with garbage covering the area near the garbage bins. 3 of our party spent 1/2 hour [1-1/2 hrs total] collecting everything, returning debris including dirty diapers to the garbage bins and securing them as best we could since the door handle on the garbage bin enclosure was not functioning. One member of our group moved the camera on his Camper Van and placed it near the garbage bin. The next morning, we saw on the camera footage that the bear had returned, but was disappointed, but not for lack of trying to get into the bins. There was no room for our own garbage in the outside bins so we needed to keep it inside in provided garbage bags. The property manager was on vacation that week, so no guidance as to what we could do. We fixed the flame function on the outside pit; switched remote batteries.
