The Purple House - Central - Close To Downtown

An old and quirky house located in central Columbia close to the downtown area but about 15 minutes to anywhere in town. This colorful home backs right up to Worley Street Park and is walking, uber or driving distance to many downtown establishments. Note the garage is not available for car storage.

We rented this property for my husband to visit our daughter for dad’s weekend. While the house itself was fine, aside from smelling heavily of grease, the neighborhood was concerning. Overall, we enjoyed our time in Columbia. It was a short weekend trip and we really only slept in the home. The neighborhood was not as nice as other neighborhoods we’ve stayed in, but it seems the town is older and there was work being done during our weekend to help improve the area. Volunteers were every where cleaning and helping the city. The home was just enough space for us.

5 guys enjoyed a Mizzou Dad's weekend. The host was super easy to communicate with. Had an issue that was quickly resolved regarding one or two futons...there is only one. Host was super apologetic and rectified quickly. Would recommend and plan to stay there again.

Perfect little house for our long weekend/roommate reunion. The backyard area was very nice to hang out in for evening drinks. The property was a very quick Uber ride to the downtown area. Will definitely be back the next time we visit Columbia!

Our family needed a place to stay for Mizzou weekend. This place was great for that. Bedrooms and kitchen were perfect size for us and back yard was nice to relax in. Tv remote was missing and host offered to find us one but no big deal as we were not there often. Host was responsive and nice to communicate with. Would recommend and would stay again.

The purple house was a great stay for our group. Location is close to everything in town and the neighborhood is quiet. Caitlin was quick to respond to any questions we had and was an accommodating host. Check-in/check-out was super quick and easy. The house is stocked with everything you might need. Overall value is excellent considering the price. I will definitely look to stay here again if/when back in the area!
