Amazing
We stayed here and swam with the manatee and attended the Manatee festival. This property was a “10”. Outside of town, yes, but SO quiet!!! We LOVED it. Planning to stay here next year.

Quiet River getaway
My boyfriend and I stayed with my sister and husband, we had a great mini vacation away for Orlando. The property was described as exactly as it was. It was comfortable, accommodating and very clean. My family took part in the kayaks while I fished one day. Another day we took a short ride to crystal river where we rented a pontoon boat for most of the afternoon. Fishing off the property, I caught catfish and mullet, we saw manatee and an alligator. There was a convenient grocery store not too far that provided anything we forgot or needed. I love Elvis and learned he filmed Follow that dream there, information at the welcome center is available. We’re sad to get back to reality but thanks to this place we had a great getaway.

We so enjoy sitting on the screened in porch & watching the river go by. My husband & his brother loved kayaking on the river. We stay at a lot of VRBO 's & this one is clean, spacious, well-equipped & comfy. We love this spot!! Access to golf, seafood & beach!!

Great location for fishing trips
This home was so relaxing and beautiful. Being right on the river our kids had a ton of fun. Was the perfect location for our fishing trip as the marina is just a short distance away. Rick was very helpful and responded immediately to any questions we had. We will stay here again!

River Pleasure
Wonderful host. Easy access to many springs, parks, beaches and restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked with all the tools you will need. The local pub is fun and the "Blackwater" restaurant had very fine prepared Grouper and Snapper entrees. Easy drive to many of the Gulf harbors and springs. Spotless accommodation.

Beautiful, tranquil, and relaxing.
Spend a quiet, relaxing weekend with friends for memorial day. The home was spotless and well appointed. The only suggestion would be a queen in the second bedroom versus the twins. For two couples it was a little awkward with a Murphy bed. Perfect for family style. Had everything we needed for cooking at home. Owners left great notes about local restaurants & things to do.

Home Away from Home
We enjoy so many things when we stay in your home. The beds are comfortable. We slept in the murphy bed & slept very well. The home is clean, spacious & well thought out for visitors. We saw alligators, 1 manatee & dolphins while eating on the screened porch. Great spot!!!

Quiet Paradise
I can’t say enough about this diamond tucked on the river in Yankeetown. The home is gorgeous, spotless, well-equipped, and close enough to Crystal River, but far from the crowds. There’s not a lot to do if you are a social butterfly, but for us it was perfect. We read, rested, walked, biked, kayaked, and swam with the manatees. This house has everything you could possibly need for a great get away. The little town is lovely, the people are nice. We had a pizza the first night from Our Pub down the street. It’s a little locals dive where the pizza is hot and the beer is cold. We made reservations and ate at the Blackwater Restaurant that is literally two minutes away. It’s waterfront and upscale. I had the chef’s special which was snapper. We drove to Captain Mike’s Swimming with the Manatees in Crystal River and enjoyed a private manatee swim. Everything you need for a nice kayaking day on the river is right beneath the house. The screened in porch was perfect for reading and relaxing. We will definitely stay here again. Don’t sleep on this beautiful experience.

Beautiful Property!
Very cozy and very clean house! We absolutely loved it! Probably the most comfortable beds we ever slept on at VRBO rentals--totally agree with most of the reviews here. Excellent location- very quiet and private, lots of mature trees and right on the water. Kayaking and fishing there was so much fun. Our teen son caught a huge Red fish with captain Eric Hasty. We saw manatee right from the lanai one morning. Great communication with owner Rick, we had no problems during our stay, it was very relaxing and very enjoyable. One of our favorite properties, highly recommend it!

Relaxing and Beautiful
This is a wonderful place to stay. It is located on the Withlacooche River in Yankeetown and it has a nice upstairs screened back patio that looks over the River and the boat dock. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood and just a few blocks away from a great restaurant. The master bedroom has a comfortable bed and a nice shower and bathroom. The second bedroom has two beds and its own bathroom and shower. This is a great area for fishing, boating, kayaking, running, walking, bike riding, or just relaxing. The owners are friendly and very responsive. We have relatives in the area and we stay up this way often, and we hope to return in the near future.

Wonderful getaway!
Had a wonderful time at the Withlacoochee River House! The house was as beautiful as it appears in the listing and had everything you could need. It was quiet and relaxing and we enjoyed the location very much. Wr spent a lot of time kayaking and enjoying the river and it is very convenient and easy to bring a boat, as there are multiple boat launches close by ($5 to use the launch). We are looking forward to coming back!

Girls Trip on the River
Stayed here for a long ladies weekend on the river. It was great! We got to see alligators from the dock every day & really enjoyed the screened in porch. The beds are all very comfortable & the linens were super soft. We also found some bean bag chairs in a closet & loved being able to bust those out for movie night. The extra kayaks were a huge plus, but we didn't get a chance to use them. We all agreed that pictures don't do this property justice- its gorgeously decorated & the little touches like LED faucets that light up were pretty neat! The floating dock is well maintained as is the landscaping, the yard is beautiful. So peacefully quiet in this neighborhood, we soaked in the symphony of nature on the river every night playing cards on the balcony. The property is close to every thing you need & Blackwater Restaurant just a couple mins down the road was soo delicious- highly recommend you treat yourself to the bacon wrapped scallops there. Rainbow River & Crystal River were lovely & we appreciated being able to do everything we wanted & not have to drive very far to experience it all! We would definitely stay here again. I only leave four stars because the floors were fairly dirty despite us not wearing our shoes in the house (we all had black feet bottoms on the first night), fridge still had food items in it from the previous stay & the guest bedroom & bathroom had a musky /sweaty odor that we could not get rid of. We also did not have enough dishwasher pods (two) for a long weekend with five people & had to go buy some. Our bathrooms only had one extra toilet paper roll in them each & less than half roll on the holder, but thankfully one of us brought some along. If I can make any small recommendation it would be to provide more cleaning supplies clorox wipes/pods & toilet paper that isn't one ply. Besides the few cleanliness critiques, this place is PERFECT & we *each* plan on returning with our families some day- it was impressive!

Black water beauty
The pictures are a great representation. The peace and quiet is off the charts. That river is so calming. We used the kayaks and brought two more. We tried to fish, I guess we did just no luck catching anything. The grill was a nice little Webber grill. We stayed four nights. We ate dinner at the black water restaurant right down the road and the food was delicious! Rainbow river is 20 minutes east and worth the drive. Crystal river has ice cream - dockside ice cream shoppe. I do not think you could find a better and more friendly place to indulge. This home felt safe and clean. We did not use Murphy bed. The king bed and two twins used by adults were comfortable. The bedding is quality. Kitchen had everything we needed. hope to come back.

Serenity, What A View of Old Florida Charm
We loved the view! It's better than the pictures. The river view from the living and kitchen area was exceptional. The location was perfect for what we came to town for... boating and spending time with nearby family. The bathrooms and bedrooms were super clean and comfortable. We enjoyed using the kitchen in the mornings as well as sitting on the screened porch watching the wildlife. We enjoyed access to the washer and dryer during our stay. We came during the summer heat of August, but any other time of the year it would be nice to walk the neighborhood and explore the small town. Yankeetown is a great location for quiet. Rick was also easy to communicate with and friendly.

Wonderful Stay at the WIthlacoochee River House
This Withlacoochee River House was exactly as shown on the website - right on the river, roomy, clean, well equipped, and very comfortable. It's in a beautiful, quiet, tree-lined neighborhood. The screened-in porch looks out to the river and we ate most of our meals there. There are also two top-of-the-line single-person Tsunami 145 kayaks. Rick, the owner, was very accessible and offered great advice for the best times to venture out onto the river in the kayaks. The times we went out in the kayaks, the river was glassy-smooth and very relaxing. Yankeetown is a one-stop-sign town with an interesting history. The town's Blackwater restaurant is only half a mile from the house. We had a great lunch there.
