The staff and valet attendees Isaiah and Angel were very friendly. Room had wet carpet from leaking window so I told the front desk Saturday evening but didn't hear anything about them finding anything or doing anything about it. Told front desk again when checking out.

The hotel is pretty run down and feels drab. They haven't renovated in a LONG time. The rooms and hallways had peeling paint on the doors and rims and just felt really sad and run down. It was clean and the beds were comfortable but the pillows haven't been changed since like the 90's like the decor and the rugs. It was walking distance to the Aquarium which is why we stayed there and felt pretty safe. It had a Starbucks on the bottom floor which was also nice, but probably won't be staying there again. The Renaissance was better.

The Fairmont at Dallas was great. It is centrally located, staff was courteous, helpful and attentive. The only thing I recommend is to remodel the bathroom. Other than that, our experience was very pleasant. It was my husband's birthday and Marita, one of the hotel's concierge, arranged for a happy birthday cake to be in our room upon our arrival. I thought that was so nice. If I ever go to Dallas, will definitely stay here again.
