Some recent stays for us in Airbnbs have felt like a hotel, with none of the hotel perks. At The Lucero, we TRULY view you as our guests - like long-lost friends visiting from afar! Our crew does our best to provide any amenities, condiments, and comforts we think will make you feel welcomed and comfortable during your stay. We spend tons of time making improvements and upgrades that we hope you love. If anything about the house doesn't make you happy, we'd be devastated, and will do whatever we can to try to make it right!
MAIN FLOOR: (1400 sqft, 3 bedrooms (king, queen, and 2 full/2 twin in the bunk room)
The main floor is spacious, featuring an open floorplan connecting living room/dining room/kitchen and islands. There's 2 full bathrooms - if these run out of hot water, head to the loft for unlimited hot water!
LOFT: (~900 sqft, 1 private bedroom, 1 bath, 4 more beds (2 queens, 2 pull out couches)
The loft bathroom is on a tankless water heater. This open floorplan is for sleeping and late night noise-making! There's an 8 foot folding table, great for games. A pair of Sonos One speakers are controlled by the provided small tablet. The pullout couches surround a 75" 4k TV. A gas wall heater keeps you warm, and a separately controlled AC to keep cool.
BASEMENT: (~600 sqft, 2 bedrooms, and 5 total beds)
1 room with a queen bed, 1 with 2 bunk beds (4 twin beds total. There's also a full bath with tub. There's tiered reclining couches (like a movie theater!) and bean bags in the living area, with a 75" 4KTV. The floors are painted concrete, and are both ugly, AND cold! Yay! We suggest using the provided slippers to keep feet warm.
NOTE: One half of the basement is for guests, the other side is a lockable door to the host space. If your host is on site, they will give you total privacy.

Some other important notes/heads ups:
NOTE #1: We use the "number of guests" fee to charge less for small groups, since 16 beds is way more work than 6 beds. When booking, instead of the "number of guests" - enter the number of BEDS you'll use. That covers the added costs for doing laundry/changing sheets.
Example: If 14 people are using 10 beds, enter "10 guests". First 6 beds are included, and beds 7-10 will be $15 each. Confused yet??? Us too! Just send a message, and we'll get it sorted :D
NOTE #2: Inside noise is fine! Outside noise after 10p makes our neighbors sad. For this reason, the hot tub only has power from 6a-10p. There are noise detectors ("Minut" brand, which doesn't record voices) on the back deck, the front porch, and by the hot tub. There's a video doorbell on the front door, and a video camera on the back deck. No sound or video recording devices in the house.
NOTE #3: There's a basement host space with a separate side entrance. There are no shared spaces, and your group can expect total privacy.
NOTE #4: The door to the North bedroom (with bunk beds) opens directly into the kitchen. The bathroom is around the corner, so guests in this room will walk through common areas to use the bathroom.
MORE ABOUT THE HOUSE
Background:
I bought my home in 2020 from Ed and Eloy, the brothers who grew up in this house 60 years ago. I've dubbed it The Lucero in their honor (they're great guys). Built in 1910, we retained the original Douglas Fir flooring and arches, and restored all the brass hardware. I added new kitchen appliances, bathrooms, smart tech, TVs. The pipes and wiring were replaced and brought up to code.
It's old, but is NOT a museum. Please use any glassware, furniture, cookware, etc - everything is meant to be used and enjoyed. Just be gentle on the soft wood floors!
We hope you LOVE your stay with us, just let us know how to help make it awesome!
