Great location
The location is incredible and the house is pretty nice with great space and updates. However, the home did have a unique smell and we had some issues at check-in with lack of toilet paper and trash bags. The welcome book and check-in info is a bit too much information so just make sure you set aside enough time to read through everything. I also feel that this house doesn’t come very well equipped. I would expect a rental home to have salt, pepper, cooking spray, coffee filters, small non perishable essentials that guests would need to utilize the kitchen. We also killed about a dozen roaches throughout our stay. I did appreciate the beach amenities that were available to use in the garage - those came in handy! I had high expectations for a nice beach house but if you don’t care about the small details then overall this place is an amazing location and great for a quick beach weekend!

The easiest place to stay! Check-in and Check-out were seamless. The location to the beach is truly a short 3 minute walk and the pool is even closer. The house does show some wear and tear but nothing significant. We would stay here again.

Nice Place
Sunny D was a great place to stay for a reasonably priced beach vacation. It is a short walk to the beach. Pool is a community pool and also a short walk. We would stay here again for sure. Areas that have room for improvement - the beach wagon needs new wheels or needs replaced. Could use an extra beach umbrella or two.

Me and my girls enjoyed the house for the weekend. We noticed that there was a drip in the shower and sand in some of the sheets but other than that, it was cleanly and we were able to check in early and set up for the other guests and we loved the location. The house was perfect and spacious for us all!

Great Location, Good size, Few Amenities, and Needs a Deep Cleaning
My family of 10 stayed at this property for our family vacation. I would rate this property a 3 due to the cleanliness and lack of amenities. The location was great, very close to the beach. There is a neighborhood pool, but it is very tiny. Most homes in the neighborhood have pools. The size was good, but the amenities were few. We did not have enough towels for our party of 10. There was some dirty linens on the beds. The sofa in the primary bedroom was gross. Brown stains and debris on the sofa and under cushion. Ceiling fans were dirty and had not been cleaned. The sofas on the main floor was also very dirty and had crumbs and debris that had not been cleaned up. All sofas in the home need cleaning. The primary bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable. We did not have a good nights sleep during our stay. There was not enough toilet paper and we had to buy toilet paper and hand soap on the first day. There was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms. The toilet paper in the home was not full rolls and did not have any supplies. The owner should consider the number and days that guests will be staying to ensure the basics amenities are adequate. There were beach chairs that came in handy, but there were no bikes or toys or games for teens. The wagon that could transport the chairs to the beach was broken and could not be used. This home does not offer a golf cart option. The owner acknowledged the cleanliness issues. I would not stay at this property again.

Everything we wanted and needed for a family vacay
Big, lovely, well appointed, house two blocks from the beach with shopping and restaurants nearby. The layout was so cool and worked great for our family with the kids and grandkids in the main house and the grandparents in the carriage house which was perfect for grabbing a quiet nap or getting ready in our own private suite.

Very nice house and close to the beach
We were a family of 7 adults and 1 2 yr old, and there's a lot of room. It felt like it could easily fit double the amount of people comfortably. Parking in the driveway could fit 3 cars. Beach was walking distance. Grocery was a few minutes drive. Wifi was very fast. There were some kind of flies in the kitchen when we got there but they stayed there in that area and also they were gone after just 1 day. No big deal. The kitchen was fully furnished though the knives need some sharpening. The grill was tankless gas, but only had 1/3 burner working. Some lights and ceiling fans weren't working but there were enough lights to illuminate everything and the central A/C unit was powerful enough to cool down the entire house quickly. This house has a tankless water heater so running out of hot water wasn't an issue at all. The shower outside is a nice touch. Overall, will book this house again.

Just right!
We enjoyed our stay at Sunny D! The house was just the right size for our family of 8 with a couple of beds to spare. The walk to the beach is no more than 5 minutes, and the community pool was great. The neighborhood is quiet with lovely homes. The home comes with 6 beach chairs and 2 wagons to transport them. There’s no umbrella and renting one with 2 chairs is $50/day regardless of weather conditions. Consider bringing your own. We would stay at Sunny D again!

Great Property!
Nice neighborhood, 5 minutes casual walk to the beach. Loved the rooms. Be aware of the driveway situation though......we had 1 big truck and 2 suvs and good thing we didn't bring another vehicle, wouldn't have fit in the driveway. The garage doesn't really fit anything.

We had a small family gathering so we had rented two houses, this one and another one Right on the beach. so we didn’t spend a whole lot of time in this house,but the time that we were there, nothing was needed. This house comes with everything you’ll ever need to make the most out of your vacation. Very satisfied, thank you!

For the price of this property, you would think the lawn would at least have been mowed. There is not enough parking at the property. The house says it sleeps 14, so there should be appropriate parking. It is listed as a 5 bedroom, but technically it is only 4. The 3rd floor loft is very small and the a/c unit could not keep it cool enough. Only enough room for the bed. There are several repairs that need to be updated. There was a leak in the 2nd floor shower that was leaking in the dining room. The door in the first floor bathroom came off the hinges. All in all we did have a great vacation, but we will be looking for a home with better parking and accurate sleeping for our next vacation. The property manager was easy to get in touch with and responded immediately.

Family Reunion
Comfortable house for a large family get together. Plenty of room for everyone to be together for dinners and evening games but also enough privacy for everyone to have their own space. Excellent location. We would rent the house again.

Great Location! The view of the golf from the top deck was very restricted as they built a house in the area that showed the view in the original photos that probably need updated to show current limited view but we didn’t spend much time up there due to it being so hot up there during the daytime hours. The carriage house bedroom is ideal and very roomy and private! The driveway parking was a bit of a problem. If the driveway entrance was as wide as the parking area it would have made it a lot easier so you don’t have to shuffle autos around to come and go. We rented a 6 person golf cart to get to the beach which helped a lot so we didn’t have to shuffle autos as often. The only other complaint was the loft sleeping area was impossible to keep cool as the cooling unit couldn’t keep up with the rising heat from lower floors, a higher btu window unit would work wonders up there! Was nice to have use of the garage for my motorcycle and golf cart storage overnight. All in all was a very pleasurable vacation home! Would consider staying again for sure! Maybe next time the parking will be less complicated and loft sleeping area as comfortable as rest of bedrooms...

Nice place, but not very clean
We did not report the bugs during our stay because we didn't want to have to deal with people and bug spray people while on vacation. But, while cooking one evening, my husband had a baby roach crawling on his shirt. There were several dead larger roaches located during our stay. The cleaning crew didn't do a good job sweeping up or cleaning over all. I would not necessarily avoid it, but I would wash all dishes and cookware before use and would also wash sheets before use or bring .y own next time.

Fun with family and friends
We had an amazing time creating memories with our children and family friends. This property was a great size for a group of people. We all had enough space to sleep and spread out. As well as enough space to gather and spend time and laugh together. It is a short walk to the beach which is appreciated when you are carrying lots of gear for all the kids. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was excellent, but we will not be going to Destin anymore. Navarre Beach from now on.
It was a wonderful home, enjoyed our stay there. Not a whiff of complaint about the house itself. Can't say the same for Destin. Parking is just a nightmare and we don't need that hassle on a vacation. Lived in the area for five years from 2009-2014 before moving back to Realville, so we've seen the evolution. We will be staying on Okaloosa Island or Navarre Beach from now on when we visit our sons still in the area.
